Famicos Foundation Summer Festival Series featuring Ward 7’s A New Day in Hough sponsored by Ward 7 Councilwoman Staphanie Howse- Jones and the Annual Glenville Festival Sponsored by Ward 10 Councilman Anthony Hairston, with contributions from Ward 9 Councilman Kevin Conwell and Ward 8 Councilman Michael Polensek.
The series begins Saturday Aug 3rd, 12noon - 6pm at 8611 Hough Avenue on the grounds of Thurgood Marshall recreational Center featuring Live Jazz and R&B Soul Music from the Free Agent Band, The Unit experience and Hubbs Groove on the Main Stage. Showwagon stage will feature an awesome cleveland youth troupe who dance, sing, act and perform poetry. Children’s World bouncy houses and fun activities, Local Guest DJ’s, Community Resources, Vendors, and Food Trucks will make a new day in Hough a great family event for the community.
Then we pack up and travel to Sam Miller Park at 88th & St. Clair for the annual Glenville Festival, Saturday Aug 10th 12pm- 6pm. Featuring USA Boxing, the Glenville Festival Car Show, Children’s World bouncy houses and fun activities, The South Stage will feature Glenville’s Got Talent participants and the North stage will feature Jazz and R&B Soul of the Free Agent Band, Jah messengers Reggae Band and R&B Soul of The Unit Experience Band. Multiple DJ’s, Food Trucks, Community Resources and Local Vendors creating a family oriented community event for the whole family.
