hi there, great question! when it comes down to chords, yes its super important to train your ears. what i usually do is just listen to the bass notes of the chords to help me figure out what they are. luckily for this song specifically, jacob was able to play it on stream so i got a pretty good look at the chords shapes and where to put my fingers on the fretboard. personally, i dont really know much about music theory. i think the trick is really just to familiarize yourself with your instrument and keep a keen ear for certain sounds that seem familiar. happy playing!
