So simple a pattern but so effective I have started one in Spring Green (Stylecraft) and will be making one in Peach-Orange (paintbox). The green one has a row of boxes and 2 rows of shells - it's only 90 minutes old!

i'M MAKING THE GREEN ONE FOR A CHILD, SO IT'S ONLY GOT 6 SHELLS. iT IS 14 INCHES WIDE AND STILL HAS THE BORDER TO BE ADDED. Maybe I should have reduced it to 5 shells, but as I've done 24 rows I'm not going to frog it and start again! LOL!!!

The multiple is 10, then you need an additional 10 for the extra three double crochet posts and to make the boxes at each end of each row.

The measurement is from fingertip to fingertip, so hold a tape measure or a piece of yarn and see how long to make your chain, hope this helps, Anja x
