By 4pm I was in Koo Wee Rup at the skatepark sweating my guts out in just jeans and the wifebeater. It was overcast pretty much the whole time, and rained on the way home 🤷🏽‍♀️ Go summer 👍🏼

Gather round kids, I recall back in the early nineties summertime running barefoot to the local country town pool. I had to sprint from tree to tree across the scorching hot concrete pavers, then across the bitumen car park, trying to dodge the worst of the little tree nuts that dropped to the ground beneath them. Getting to that luke-cold pool was the best feeling a country kid could feel!

Great video. I've watched a few already. AU Falcons are mentioned in all of them. I have to agree they're a reliable car despite their polarising looks which I admire. Motorised esky's are a great summer thing. Bogans paradise. I wonder if someone has actually attempted to fill the boot if an AU Falcon with frozen ice. Be funny if they did. And if it has an LPG tank in the boot, it'll be kept cool no worries. Keep the funny ones coming.

The most Australian moment I ever had was getting partial thickness burns on my shoulders and back from a day at the beach. I’m laying on the bed on my stomach, my partner went to the bathroom to get aloe lotion. He walks into the room and there is a spider the size of a ping pong ball dangling and is about to jump on my heavily blistered back. Needless to say, we burned the house down. I had to go to the emergency room cos I ended up having heatstroke. That entire weekend was fkd.

@mikldude9376
@mikldude9376 Жыл бұрын
Yeah , people like to joke about melb weather , but in actual fact , it is probably the mildest weather in the country with almost no nasty storms like they get up north , and far less rain than Queensland or NSW , but we do have our share of dreary drizzly days , and yes it can be raining one minute and sunny the next and then raining again and sunny again , i think due to our proximity to bass strait , but that is over hyped imo . . in winter a lot of the time its just dreary and coldish as you would expect in winter ( and for comparison sydney usually has twice the rainfall of melbourne ) , in summer these days , where once upon a time we seemed to get some serious hot spells regularly each year in the 30 to 44 celcius range , very occasionally going over that tad , in the last decade and change , summers do seem milder , more often than not in the pleasant range of 25 to 30 ish C occasionally going over that a tad , it seems our weather patterns have changed a tad , and where we used to get hot winds in melbourne more often from across the red centre and desert , these days summer seems much more mild overall , at least since our last big bushfire season of ash wednesday or black saturday , i forget which . I remember black saturday it was 47 celcius on the north side of melbourne , we had a stinking hot desert wind , that was a bad time for many people . Personally i look forward to a nice hot summer in melb if it eventuates , if i had a choice , id probably shift to broome WA , although they can have some serious weather up there on occasion , often i look at the 10 day forecast for broome , and its sunny 10 days in a row and between 25 and 34 C even in winter . You could do a lot worse than melb weather though .

@@mikldude9376 Spot on! And as a middle aged woman who is going through a certain time in her life, I'll gladly take not having so much heat and humidity. 😂 I sometimes wonder how some women who are in a similar situation to myself, manage to live in such hot and humid conditions. Especially places that are like that all year round. I understand that when you have lived with it for so long, that you just get used to it. But no way in heck could I find myself, at this point in my life, living anywhere further north than Melbourne. Even though I've mostly always been fond of hot weather and sometimes wondered what life would be like to live in a more warmer climate. Not anymore. 😜
