Thanks Eileen! I sometimes worry it's not going to be as nice as the year before then it all fills out and puts on a really colourful show! It's nice for me to share the garden with friends around the world as I don't get many visitors coming to enjoy it! :-)

Justin, I was just thinking yesterday that we hadn't seen you for a while and I checked to see that I hadn't missed a notification! I don't blame you for taking a break from KZbin as there's a lot of work involved plus keeping up with a garden takes a lot of work and energy and your caring role must be time consuming for you.. I also think you need a holiday after a holiday! Your garden is looking amazing. I've never had any success with Dierama but yours are lovely. I bought a Chines Foxglove a few weeks ago so it was good to see yours. Take care.

I though I had better explain, sometimes I like to disappear off into the wilderness for a bit of a rest but I always come back. You're right there, it's a monumental effort getting everything looking pristine and perfect for summer and it's now that we can reap the rewards along with our aches and pains! Looking forward to another break sometime if it's possible. I bought this one years ago, I leave it and don't do anything for it and it always flowers so maybe neglect is the key! Happy Gardening!

Oh, my goodness, your garden is exquisite! It may have been a rainy summer, but your garden looks all the better for it. We too, here in Vermont, USA, have had rain almost every day and massive flooding. As soon as the flowers bloom, they're knocked off. Only the soft fruits and lettuces have done well. Thank you for the video.

Thank you, it's compact but every corner is filled with plants and interest. It has suffered quite a lot, all the Petunias and pot plants lost their flowers but they have just about recovered now, I hope it'll stay fair weather, and for you too. At least we have nice green lawns and lush fruit to enjoy!

Hi Justin! So amazing to see your beautiful garden! Do you ever take a chaise lounge or chair and just sit out there? I know that when I am outdoors gardening, I always see something to do…deadhead, weed, water, trim, etcetera…..but the love of plants and care makes it hard for me to sit and relax. I have purposefully done a little sitting and it is good. My garden pales when seeing yours! What zone are you in? Do you fertilize your lilies-some of them look like trees! Thanks for sharing and your trip to Scotland was marvelous.

Hi Janice, I don't often rest in the garden because like you say there is always something to do, I find the thereapeutic part is in the 'doing'. I do enjoy the garden sometimes on an evening when I sit in the garden room and the sun is setting - everything seems just perfect then. I'm in England so I think a similar zone would be a 9 or akin to Washington State I'm told, although I've never been so it's just a guess!

Again I am in awe of this. I am wondering if because the area is so small, somewhat enclosed and protected it supports some plants that are not hardy to your area in colder months.
@justinthegardener
@justinthegardener Жыл бұрын
Hello! There is one corner which escapes the worst of the frosts, but it isn't really sufficient. The rest of the garden usually gets too cold for most of the tender plants. I bring them in or put them into the little greenhouse with minimal heat to keep them going.

Justin, your garden is so bountiful and well designed. Do you mind telling me how many different species of plants you have in your garden and how big is your garden?
@justinthegardener
@justinthegardener Жыл бұрын
Thank you, it's bursting and I always have spare plants if a space ever appears. I daren't think how many species but it could well be 100-200 different types if you count them all. The garden is roughly 50ft by 20ft and the narrow area is about 50ft by 8 ft.
