It's like a Fisherman's Knot but 3 wraps not 2. That 8mm rope packs small. (I guess I'm used to my climbing ropes which are more toward 10mm)

Thank you for this. I’ve been practising all that you have shown and it’s paid of lots . You should upload a donation thing for your page because i could send a tenner for your techniques that I’ve learned.

Thanks for posting- everyone I see seems to have slight differences of technique when tieing in someone to the rope. I'd never heard of a marshall knot before watching this!

Fantastic, really helpful. Been a few months now since my training and appreciated a detailed bush up. Very useful. Thanks

How would you retrieve the rope after the first abseil technique, on a single strand? Just give the rope a flick to get the loop off the spike? Thanks
@MikePescod
@MikePescod 5 ай бұрын
Hi Andy, it's not at all likely that you will be able to retrieve the rope, so you need to be really sure that you will not need it again!

Ha ha, I've been found out! You are right, this was a shorter bit of rope.
