For me the Guatemala moment is definitely that final 3 challenge, the image of Stephanie trying so hard not to lose, inches away from touching the ground, bawling her eyes out. Meanwhile Danni just casually looks over at her without a care in the world. It’s etched in my memory forever. It’s emblematic of the whole season and the two most important players that defined it, Stephanie trying so hard not to lose but again coming up short while Danni effortlessly takes the win.

The moment from that season that always stuck out to me most is actually one they didn't mention which is when they eat the sacrificial chicken. It captures both the depravation of the season and the entire "Stepheme" persona in a nutshell.

I'm just getting to the Guatemala stuff, and in my mind, the thing that came IMMEDIATELY to mind was Stephenie and Bobby Jon standing on top of that pyramid at the beginning of the game.

i liked the idea of this podcast but it was a little weird. it opened with distinguishing "most memorable" from "most defining" and then it was all "the one with x" and "what my mom remembers" so it was only the most memorable moments anyway still fun! just wish there was more discussing of different contenders for moments rather than pre-scriped spreadsheet referencing

For me - All Stars, the Rob/Lex deal to save Amber. Samoa - Russell H. finding all the idols without clues. Heroes v. Villains - Candace flipping on the Heroes. One world - The men going to tribal when they won.

The Duchess of Chat, the Baroness of Bingo Balls, Shannon continuing to find new friends by plucking people from the chat onto the podcast has been a fun reoccurrence! This was a really entertaining episode! I’m actually amazed that y’all got through so many seasons. I would love for you to finish the rest another time! Maybe slot it in as an alternate, if there’s a week where you couldn’t quite get something together in time. The Friends style titling was a really good way to think about defining moment. Although for 46, I think the moment and the title are different. It’s not quite Jelinsky-defined accurate, but for me the friends style moniker for 46 would be “The One Where Several People Went Home With An Idol In Their Pocket” I do agree though that the defining moment would be “I’m Pissed”. With an honorable mention to the cast playing Hide and Seek. I think I generally agreed with everything else you landed on. Though some were not as obvious as others. I also was not expecting so much Jar Jar Binks in this podcast hahaha.

I liked Shannon's song and I thought Rob turned it off too soon. But after I heard the Liz Applebees song I was like, "Okay, I see why he set his expectations too high. This is better." They're both good, though.

Maybe I just disagree with the Friends criteria, but how was Guatemala not 'Scumbags?' Infinitely more memorable to me.

You've definitely picked the correct one for 44. Carolyn is the epitome of that season. 😊My most memorable moment by far (cause it's relatable, hysterically funny and also encapsulates her whole game - using her kooky personality to her advantage to get far unnoticed, but that same personality coming back to bite her at FTC cause people have already made up their minds about not taking her seriously) is her at the bro down spitting out a piece of fruit being so over the fact that these two guys are sitting there right next to her speaking to each other fully acting like she's not even there. 🥲

I think for Guatemala, Rafe releasing their deal encapsulates everything. It's why Rafe loses, it's why Danni wins, and it shows Stephenie's journey as she sobs on the ground, thinking she lost after getting so close while Rafe is saving her
