Oh Girl when you live in the country it is bugs bugs bugs everywhere so what I have learned is fabric softener sheets help keep bugs away from the front and back doors from coming into the house. I have used magnets because our doors are steel, also I have peppermint spray in a spray bottle I put a lot of peppermint oil in with water it also helps. I sprayed it on the screens to all doors and windows and this is the most important. Irish spring soap bars I sliced into 3-4 long ways and put it in every room under beds behind toilet under cabinets in the corners of rooms that do not get lots of use. Keeps small rodents, spiders, scorpions, and all other bugs away. Works like a charm. I used to spray bug spray every week because we live on 80 acres and I even called a pest company with no help. When we had rainy springs we had bad ant infestations well no more. The bars of soap keep things out like a force around my house ❤ Every thing looks wonderful!! Stay well!! Be Blessed!! ❤

Hi Hollie. Seems like you and I share similar taste in bushes. I also planted a couple of Blushing Bride hydrangeas and a white rose bush a couple of weeks ago. So far, while small, my blooms are all still white. I'm hoping they stay that way. Your porches look lovely. I'm not feeling the floral blue cushions ( which is strange because I usually love all things flowery) but I really like the light blue striped ones on the swing.

Do what you feel like doing. You are a smart girl and know not to do anything to hurt your baby. My sister got on me one time when I was pregnant. She came over for a visit and saw that I had my hands up high working on some draperies. She fussed at me and told me that I was going to stretch the umbilical cord and it would go around the baby’s neck. Mind you I am a nurse. 😂 Your outdoor spaces are looking great.

Everything looks so fresh and pretty. I'm going to look for those greenery for my back deck. I was thinking 2 cedars but I like these and I need something for full sun. Epson slat in water is good for flowers and most plants. But I noticed my ferns didn't like it. But I use it on all my other plants once a week and miracle grow on my ferns. Daddy always used MG on his tomatoes and they were huge and delicious. Also put all coffee grounds, tea bags and egg shells in his vegetable garden.

the plant is a Caladium and the topiaries will need full sun. The standard lavender does not like full sun, and needs to have soil evenly moist and never dry. 😁
