Love the olive updates. I find these pruning decisions fascinating - mostly 'cause I can't see what's the best choice, and because I have the same indecisions to make on my own trees. Even though I don't have olives, their branch structure is similar to many deciduous trees. I love your clump style too. I think you'll have a lot of fun with it.

For tree number one, I would pick for the front, exactly where you comment "nothing there I don't think, at 9:48. No idea about tree two, or three. The clump bonsai is very nice.

Interesting thanks, I purchased a reduced olive last year repotted and have left it grow. Next year I plan to cut it back as it has some nice movement in the trunk. Good to see your ones do well. Take care

15:03 how about it being a back branch? Then coming out of inside of the curve wouldn't be so obvious and I think there's still a nice rootbase and movement in the trunk. It's hard to judge just from a video, though. And it'd also have to backbud a lot but from watching Sam's videos that doesn't seem to be an issue with olives (in his climate, that is).

Considering how hard they were cut back there aren´t that many new branches. Mine are the same this year (even in Spain). Something is wrong this year (no idea what).
