Summer Resounding by Brian Balmages

The joyous feelings of summer are captured in this highly spirited piece. The beautiful melodic and harmonic lines play superbly off one another, creating music that is both intense and charismatic. The work is entirely in 6/8, but at varying tempos, giving the players a chance to develop more expression. The initial theme returns and soars to a bold conclusion.

I played the timpani for this song too! And after the climax that tenor sax has the solo with the bass clarinet, and they would always breathe and go off tempo but they got best solo award at uil 😑 but I played my timpani solo better .
