I love that your tutorials don't involve a million and a half steps. Some of the ones I've seen have said "First, apply color x on the whole lid, then color y on the center of the lid, then color z on the outer three millimetres of your eyelash and into the outer two of your crease, then take a matte version of color z and brush it in into the outer half of your crease, and a matte version of color x into the inner half" and it's just like my goodness, I don't have four hours to put my face on in the morning! These are perfect; realistic, but unfailingly lovely.

Lisa, I absolutely love that you started this wearing nothing on your skin. It isn't many of the gurus that will do that and it was lovely to see. I live in Australia, but in the tropical weather and I have had problems with foundations staying on from morning to night. So I will now try the foundation you recommended and see how I will go.

I also have dry skin and I would recommend Revlon PhotoReady make up as it gives great coverage with a small amount and doesn't dry skin out. Or The Body Shop Moisture Foundation has a more sheer coverage, but keeps my skin hydrated. Hope this helps, and have a great wedding day! x

@miracleas if you have that problem you should try the watercolour one from Daniel Sandler because I find it doesnt change colour. Its like a long lasting stain. Choose a warmer pink/rose shade, less of a blue pink for your skin tone...x

Randee Chen Great idea. I live in the tropics and it's hot and humid with average 35 Celsius almost every day. Waterproof and heat proof tutorials--for weddings and casual looks--would help so much!

@QueenNefertiti87 no this one will be fine. Its not sheer or shimmery in any way and quite a bit of its SPF factor is physical (as I say its a good medium to full coverage depending on how you apply). Also I found the finish fresh but quite velvet/matt....no sparkly bits! x

Ohhh, this is wonderful that you're doing this for everyone! Please put up recommendations for ideal foundations for older women! Mother of the bride type make up so that it doesn't emphasize wrinkles please! Also, do you think the spf in the foundation you suggested will be bad for photography? @elm914 its true. I recommend the foundation in this video for a daytime wedding in a very hot/tropical country, Otherwise you dont need such a high SPF. Many foundations have Spf these days..up to 15 shouldn't effect photography as long as you get the correct shade for you skin, so your face, neck and all exposed skin matches x

@soso13004 have you tried the Clinique anti Blemish foundation? It might be good for you as it helps with oiliness/ blemishes but ,as its Clinique, its good for sensitivity too. You can adapt the coverage to suit you and the finish is velvety x

This is so beautiful Lisa. I'm already married but I did something very similar for my wedding. I'm totally in love with the English rose sort of makeup. It's so flattering on fair skinned girls. Btw have you seen Young Sherlock Holmes with Sophie Ward? Her makeup was so gorgeous and I've been looking everywhere to find a suitable modern rendition of her look. This is the best I have found so far!

@memabige most of the good/modern ones dont need powder to set. Bobbi Brown long wear cream shadow for example is extremely long wear if you are worried x

@kolitsov depends how oily your t-zone is? If very then you will find this becomes too shiny. Better with a matter finish as it will last longer too. Chanel Matt Lumiere is good as its matt but still glowy x

hi, I have a No7 eye mouse from a free No7 gift. I think the texture is so creamy but doesn't run, it stays on for ages! I have the pewter, its beautiful. the whole range is colourful with a slight metallic edge to it. i think there fab! x

@melodyt311 Most of the new cream/mousse eye shadows are very long lasting now so you dont really need to set them like you used to. If you are worried about it, I find Bobbi Brown long wear cream shadows dont budge at all x

@nivea94 Oh i like a bit of shimmer round the eyes especially if its a sheer mousse or powder but its true you shouldnt over do it. Interestingly enough very pale matt eyeshadows can photograph very badly because of the matt white pigment they contain.

@iluvpenguins007 The Guerlain one is a lot more heavy duty as its fully waterproof etc so its great for really hot humid/tropical countries especially if you are going to be outdoors in hot sun as its SPF is higher than DW. Double wear is really good.... i like it a lot in terms of coverage and staying power and if your getting married in the UK, it will be perfectly good. x

@JuicyRussian The Daniel Sandler Blush should be easy to get hold of as he is based in the UK, there is a link to his website on my site. The Concealer is also available from Lancome counters or you could try Estee Lauder double wear concealer which is good and long lasting. Look at Clinique long wearing foundation to find a paler alternative to the Guerlain x

@curlygurl7 I'm not Lisa obviously, but Bobbi Brown cosmetics ONLY carries yellow foundation colors as far as I know. It's part of the brand's ethos about what looks most natural.

@0oMarvelo0 You could use a thin layer of foundation all over and then use a good concealer (like Laura Mercier Secret Camoflague) in top to give extra coverage for blemishes and certain areas and blend it well into the foundation. That way the overall look of your foundation still looks natural x ps use a concealer brush

Love! I'm getting married in Seattle which makes you think rain but it's often 95F/35C and humid in the summer. But that Guerlain foundation is now discontinued!!! Do you recommend any other waterproof long wearing alternatives?

I have a little question: some MUA avoid shimmery eyeshadows and prefer mat e/s to prevent this "glaringly white" under flashlights that you mentioned on your last vid (you were talking about face products) What do you think about that? Hi Lisa, Can you recommend a good foundation line that carries shades for more yellow undertone skin. I have tried several different lines and have only found CoverEfx that has come close to my skin tone, however, the cream foundation can be very heavy during the summer time and was hoping you may be able to assist in a recommending a line that does not have such a heavy feel to it. (then again, I may just need to use a lighter hand ;-)
