I was listening to Dr. Rajani the other day and he was saying there was a study done between youthful skin in Korea and the skin of those in America and found that were still under hydrating our skin here in the states.. So I’m glad you’re showing us the TIR TIR SOS Serum.. I’m going to definitely purchase some because I was taking care of a sick friend for several years who recently passed and during that time I must have aged 15 years😞 Since I’ve started my skincare back faithfully and focused on gentle exfoliation and hydration the turnaround in a very short few months has been remarkable and I know I can keep building on that.. I recently purchased three new serums to add to my NIOD and The Ordinary peptide serums. One is the Numbzin Nbr 3 skin softening serum which I purchased for the peptides content; then the Skin 1004 centella poremising ampoule, also for the peptides; and the Naturium multi-peptide advanced serum which has that super duper Argereline peptide in it as well as other peptides. My question is this: I've been focusing on using Avene's RetrinAL 1% retinaldhyde and mixing in Truth Treatments C serum (which is obscenely expensive) and the results have been terrific. I'm 72 years old and have lip lines that really bother me and applying those two products along with a mineral mist that's supposed to drive the product into the skin deeper, and I've just been amazed at how those lines have improved. So I'm really loathe to give them up. They're both lipophilic (oil based) so you can't really put anything on top of them except for sunscreen and moisturizer if you wish. So where do the serums fit in? They're all a watery consistency for the most part, but the new ones have more body to them and have things like panthenol and glycerin in them, among other things. Will my holy grail lipophilic retinal and vitamin C products penetrate the skin through them? I don't think any of these watery- like serums would make it through the C and retinaldehyde products. I'm interested in buying a couple of the items that you mentioned in this video, but there will be the same problem, how do I layer them?

Hi Penn - I remember that interview you had with the gentleman from Photozyme - it was so interesting! I purchased the DNA Youth Recovery based on that information and I have never stopped using it. And I can't say that about any other product really, because I enjoy trying new things. I always have a back-up of the DNA Recovery - it lasts a fairly long time. I happen to use it in the morning, it works perfectly well with make-up. And just to note, they are very good about having sales!

Ok so you have options 😍 I like to Cleanse Tone (acid toner) Hydrating essence/mist Fade bright (or other pigment inhibitor) Serums (whatever serums….antioxidants, hydrating serums…etc) DNA repair (to me photozyme is my last serum and also my lightweight moisturizer. It is a serum, but for me it is working two ways this summer). SPF At night it’s really the same (but I choose different serums, like copper peptides) only I finish with a retinoid and sometimes a heavier moisturizer. 💙💙 I hope that helps!

Your skin does look good, and it’s very rare to say that someone who has lost weight, so extra props! I also found the original Tirtir too heavy for me, despite my dry skin. I can’t stand products that don’t sink in all the way. You must try the new Ordinary milk toner. For such a simple formula, I love it! It’s my fave milky toner. Also, if you’re comparing peptide serums, a you check out the Peach & Lilly? I just bought it after doing a big copper peptide comparison. I’m also loving the wonderskin lip stain mask. Thanks for another excellent video. I'm always concerned about too many products and how to layer. My Derm said it's better to use on alternating days then to pile everything on at once. I love to pat on the niche beauty lab glycerin serum throughout the day to keep my skin nice and hydrated. I have two serums, the Vegreen Mucin Serum and the Numbuzin No. 3 Softening Serum. They are both rather thick and viscous. I think once I've applied one of them, nothing else can get through easily, so the viscosity of a product is really important in layering to me. I used to use these in the same application, but no more. And I sometimes wonder if it matters if I apply something morning or night, does it matter? There's the question of not only a great product, but How and when to Apply?....skin care complications abound....

I use to use Photozyme Youth Serum, but after going thru 2 bottle, I just didn’t see any differnce, I am now using ( on my1st bottle) Skinmedica TNS for 2 weeks now as my first step in Am & Pm. I can’t believe how tightenedmy joul line is looking and my skin is looking soo smooth I just turned 63 in June. Yay! I just ordered Fade Bright yesterday as well as their Exfoliating Cleanser for dry skin. I did my 1st TCA 13 peel 3 weeks ago. I have several larger dark spots on my face and décolleté. I for sure am going to purchase the Maelove Serum. Do you like it better than The Ordinarys Copper Peptide Serum? Have you tried Theramid Copper Peptide Serum, if not would you please Review it. I have heard it’s got 2% CP ‘s. And great serum. I’m going to also try the TirTir serum you mentioned. Great as always Penny. You skin is always so pretty. Oh, I also have been using Hydroquinone 4%. 3 months on, one mo. Off. But still not seeing any difference in my hyperpigmentation. Also have tried Naturuim Transexamic Acid serum x 2 bottles. But it always gets really gritty soon after using a couple weeks even after shaking bottle. Hi Penn - like you I am using the fade bright and the DNA repair enzymes, and like you, I feel my skin is the best it's been in a long while. I'm 63. I'm not even putting foundation on, which for me is very unusual! I also had given the DNA repair a break, but came back to it after listening to an interview with Vonda Wright and a dermatologist who put DNA repair enzymes at the top of her list with tretinoin. For me, they are VERY expensive as I live in the UK and the shipping is dreadful! ( unlike Reviv serums) Am also doing other platinum skincare products which are amazing - seems most of my products come from the states now! Love your information SO much, really helped me in my knowledge that i can share with friends who are interested and not willing to spend the time I do watching your and other You Tube videos! so a big thank you x

They are actually similar! The boum is glowier and leaves more moisture but that TirTir light is phenomenal (and a great price point). Btw I picked up another birch sap product that was recommended here in the comments (Round lab). I’ll definitely report back bc it is much more affordable and if it’s a good alternative I will 100% share!!

I use it both- but I love it cocktailed with the spray (hydrating essence) then on with my routine (fade bright, other serums ((or the SOS goes here with the serum step)) then photozyme then SPF ((that’s what I do typically)) 💙

That Platinum fade bright serum is no bueno for dry skin. I bought it because I started doing TCA peels, which I love but I won’t be repurchasing Fade Bright. I’ll have to find another pigment inhibitor to prep my skin for peels.

My question is about a Sephora lip liner that you did not mention in this particular video, but one that you mentioned before. It is the. Sephora retractable lip gel liner.. I love this product, however cannot find the right sharpener to do the job. I have purchased the Sephora sharpener, Eld sharpener, and a Revlon sharpener. What sharpener do you use? Hi! So I don’t use a sharpener with the Sephora lip liner. It rolls up and down from the bottom-you just twist it. Unless you are talking about another brand lip liner? BC the Sephora brand lip liner is the gel lip liner. I have two favorite colors and both just twist up and down and don’t require a sharpener. 💙

I have done lip filler twice- the last time was probably six or so years ago. Neither time was good 😬 I have naturally full lips (my genetics) and so I really don’t need lip filler. That didn’t stop me from trying it though 😂
