Leslie, I see the nurse in you in everything you do. Handing Jason his medicine and saying “antibiotic,” the way you use your hands for his massage. The way you are always teaching in your videos. You are a bright light. Thank you for all you do for us who follow you.

I’m so pleased to hear you say you’re reading. You might like my little saying on this. When we pray we’re telling the Lord what’s on our mind and in our hearts and we’re asking Him to care about that (and you know He does). When we read we’re saying we care about what’s on His mind and in His heart. We care about His part of the conversation. Put another way… how many close and healthy relationships do you know of where only one person in that relationship gets to talk? Read and pray to draw near to Him. It is so fulfilling and you can see the evidence of His pleasure. (Not talking about prosperity gospel but His genuine pleasure.) speaking of pleasure…It’s ALWAYS A pleasure to watch you and Jason. All the best and God bless y’all.

My mom came over to vent a little today. She takes care of my dad. Been married 52 years. He actually said noone ever puts him first. Lol he literally sits in the chair while she brings him every meal and caters his every whim. He had a stroke a few years ago. Luckily it didn't impair him physically but it did remove his filter. Sometimes the caregiver really has to put up with much more than we realize.

I am also a full time caregiver. I find that there are only rare times to "pause and refresh". My devotions sometimes take a back seat to the the immediate needs, but knowing that God gets to those days ahead before me helps. My mantra that seems to help is " Move out worry, stress and fear as those spaces in me are where God lives and I need God there.

Much love to you all 💜

So wise of you to seek relief, rest, and peace in the Bible. Removing the “job” of a Bible Study and replacing it with just soaking in the Word was brilliant. I know the Holy Spirit is guiding you to keep you well able to do what you are “called” to do. I am so proud of you for having the courage to admit that sometimes you want to hide out in your room. To be so real with us, your unknown friends, does us all good. Just a suggestion-but you may all ready be doing it. A massage for you on a regular basis-something to look forward too on difficult days-may be really helpful to you. My friend plays soothing Christian music while she does the massage and lets us rest in that quiet dimly lit music filled room for a few minutes following the massage. Just a thought. I wish I could do that kind of ministry-I’d be right at your door-all the way from OHIO. Praying for you two brave and generous friends.
