I'm especially grateful to hear about the kinopio's cafe because I had no idea they issue tickets for the restaurant! our assigned entry into the mario land through the express pass 7 is 12PM, but seems that if anyone were to be assigned an entry time for Mario land sometime later in the afternoon, there's a very slim chance that those people could eat at Kinopio's cafe?

After visiting both Nintendo Worlds in Japan and Hollywood, I feel that both parks are better in their own ways. In Japan, there is a lot more different activities to do, with more variety of different foods that are way better than Hollywood's Toadstool Cafe (Except for the Burgers, Hollywood does them better), they also have their own unique headbands which japan's headbands are better, while hollywood's shirts and hats are better. And rides like Mario Kart, compared to Hollywood, takes less time to line up for than in Hollywood. If you are lucky, you can get in to Japan's Nintendo World as early as 7:30am in the morning. However, unlike Hollywood, there are some days where you MUST book a Timed Entry Ticket (Virtual Line) in order to get to the park, and sometimes you must go to a specialized kiosk to book them. Meeting mascots (except Toad) is much stricter, due to the fact that unlike Hollywood, you are not allowed to have your phone to take pictures with mascots, you must stand in a specific position when you meet mascots, you must pose how the mascot poses for pictures, and you must pay 6000 yen for pictures. While in Hollywood, it's just you interacting with the mascot, the staff are allowed to use your phone for picture taking, and you are allowed to greet the mascots with how you like to greet them (plushies). When I met Peach in Japan, the line takes longer compared to Hollywood (30 minutes in Japan). And she would just interact with the staff member every time and only interact with me based on what the staff tells her to do for the first 30 seconds of the meet and greet to fill in that time. When I even tried to greet her with my plushies, she just ignores them. When I met Peach in Hollywood the line is way shorter (2-15 minutes), and she is even willing to get to know more of my different plushies, and with Toadette being her favourite, she would always be happy to hold her and hug her for the picture-taking. The meet and greet is straight to the point and no nonsense.

Good info...if that's where you want to go. Went to Japan years ago with my young niece and nephew. This is how it went... Me: "What do you guys want to see today?" Them: "let's go to Universal Studios." Me: "what?? Universal Studios! You're in Japan! We dropped the teens off and met them after. Me: "how was US?" Them: "only did a few rides, over 1hr waits." Me: "OK what do you want for dinner tonight?" Them: "Pizza." Me: "what?? You're in Japan!!" I give up...😂😂

Wow very detailed video thanks ! A question : since it may rain on the day, we want to avoid buying tickets beforehand. Is it possible to buy tickets on the same day ? Buy tickets at 6AM, then enter st 7.30AM ?

Personally, I would buy tickets at least the night before, so that after 5am the day of your visit the tickets should have processed and be ready to link to the USJ app. We tend to buy our amusement park tickets the day before, to make sure the weather and our kids will cooperate. 🌺 Heidi

This video helped a lot! Thanks! How would you able to use your express pass from Klook, would you have to load it in the USJ app or just show your voucher on the Klook app? And also if you have a set timed entry for Super Nintendo World at a later time (3pm) since I got the express pass..can you enter SNW when the park first opens so i can be able to to get in Toadstool Cafe? Or can I just enter SNW once since I got a timed entry?

Hi, For Express Passes, I don’t think you need to load them to the USJ app. Just show the voucher with QR code at the ride. It’s always a good idea to take a screen shot of the voucher, in case the internet isn’t working well when you try to load it. If you arrive at USJ 90-120 minutes early (it’s going to get more crowded as the summer progresses) and are able to get into SNW unrestricted, you could go there first thing in the morning and return later for your time slot. However, during a super crowded time of year, like August, I wouldn’t count on being able to get into SNW without an Area Timed Entry. Have fun at USJ! 🌺 Heidi

I had a question - while everyone speaks abt Area timed Entry, I couldn't find anything online on Attraction Timed Entry - which attractions are available using this option? If an attraction is booked, do we still need to book the corresponding Area.. bit confusing as even the USJ website is silent on this functionality. Thanks again!

Hi. I believe the Attraction Timed Tickets are only available on days when the lines are really long. I’m not sure exactly which rides have the option. You would still need an Area Timed Entry Ticket to enter an area such as Super Nintendo World. Hi. I believe Kinopio’s Cafe hands out time slot tickets in order, so you would just get the next available time slot. I don’t think they accept reservations for a particular time. But I could be wrong! If you are able to get into SNW first thing in the morning without an Area Timed Entry, you could double check at the cafe, or eat at that time.

Correct. If you buy Express Passes through Klook you will be assigned a random time slot. If you purchase Express Passes through the USJ website, you can choose your time slot. 🌺 Heidi

To scan your tickets, wait until at least 5am the day after purchasing your tickets. Yes, timed entry tickets can be acquired once you are inside USJ. I’m not sure if there is a maximum group size.

Hi. Yes, you should be able to register your 1 Day Pass in advance. However, you may need to wait until the day after purchasing.

Hi There, I would like to ask whether it is possible to link the tickets into USJ apps on 2 different phones? we are traveling in group of 8. Hmmm, if you want to reserve timed entry tickets altogether, it would be best to link all 8 tickets to the USJ app on one phone. I'm not sure if it would let you link the same tickets to more than one phone.

Hi. I'm not sure what the maximum number is, but it should be fine to register 5 Studio Passes into one app. And buying separately and linking all tickets to one app should be fine. I showed linking the tickets to the app at 04:16 in the video.

Planning to go mid-April without Express Pass, but I’m trying to decide between Sunday or Monday. The thing is Sunday is probably more crowded, but the park is open for 13 hours and only 10 hours on Monday. What’s your take on this, please?

Mid-April is probably going to be super busy. That’s a time of year I would actually recommend an Express Pass if you’re wanting to ride rides. I would choose Monday, but still expect it to be very crowded with long lines. 🌸 Heidi

Hi. A "1 Day Studio Pass" will get you entrance into Universal Studios Japan (USJ). There are two sections within USJ that are sometimes restricted. Either Harry Potter World or Super Nintendo World (SNW) may require an Area Timed Entry Ticket to enter. Harry Potter is usually fine to walk straight in, if it is not a crowded day. For SNW, as soon as it reaches capacity they start restricting access and requiring an Area Timed Entry Ticket. If you are already inside USJ, you can use a ticket kiosk or the USJ app on your phone to get a free Area Timed Entry Ticket. Or you can pay extra ahead of time to purchase an Express Pass that includes Area Timed Entry into SNW. Hello thank you for these tips. I bought my two day studio pass for USJ, going this September. Can I enter on the first day in USJ and book for an area timed ticket for the following day? Any tips for a two day studio pass to maximise our time there?

Hi! Once you are inside USJ, you can book an Area Timed Entry only for that day. They won’t be issuing ones for the following day yet. It depends what exactly you want to see at USJ. For me, I would go first to Super Nintendo World the first day and spend as much time there as I want. After that there would probably be enough time to ride one or two rides in another area of the park. On the second day I would walk around the rest of USJ, maybe starting with one of the rides that tends to have a long line. I check the wait times in the USJ app a few days before to get an idea of how long the lines typically are. And you could watch the parade if you want. Are you staying at a hotel right by USJ? Some of them allow early entry into the park, which would be nice.

I'm stillso confused, I planning to buy Super Nintendo World+1day studio pass, this will be in November a week Day, I only see on the klook webiste 2 hours as a option, 13:00 or 14:00, if I choose one of those how early I need to arrive at USJ? My main interest is the SNW and I don't plan to go in another park before my chosen hour, can I arrive like 2 hours before my time entry? Or I have to do the regular line just to enter the USJ? There's a way to find early hours to book online to SNW?

Yes, if you’re only planning to visit SNW at the 1pm or 2pm time slot, you could arrive at USJ an hour or two before your time slot. There probably won’t be much of a line at all to enter USJ at that time. I think that particular combo is only available on Klook, and only for those time slots. The other option would be purchasing an Express Pass directly from the USJ website, which allows you to select your time slot, but those are much more expensive. Enjoy your visit to SNW! 🌺 Heidi

My mom has no interest in riding the rides, so I was wondering - would you know if it's possible for her to line up at Kinopio's Cafe while my brother and I ride Mario Kart? I’m not sure, as we haven’t tried. But in general in Japan they like for everyone in the party to wait in line together.

@@KenshoQuest Just want to share my experience for all the comment-readers out there: We arrived at the gates of USJ by 7am. They started letting people in by 7:30am so we quickly started walking to SNW. Upon arriving by Waterworld, they have already stationed staff members who check if you have a timed entry ticket for 8am and denied entry for anyone else without those timed entry tickets. They were very strict about this!!! So, even if we were there before official opening time, they still did not let us in as our Fast Passes had entry for 10am. I had to get a timed entry ticket on the app, which was not hard, but got it for 9am. So we did some other rides first. At around 8:30am, we tried to enter SNW but they still denied us entry! Also not allowed to wait by the bushes haha. Again, very strict! So we went back at around 8:45am and thankfully they let us in. Regarding Kinopio cafe, there was just 1 really long line (no tickets being issued). An hour wait, not too bad I guess. 😅 We still had a great time and appreciated all your tips, @KenshoQuest. 🧡

Yes, if you are using the USJ app on your phone, once your Studio Pass has been scanned and you have entered USJ, you can book an Area Timed Entry anywhere inside USJ. If you plan to use a ticketing kiosk, you will need to go to the closest kiosk. 🌺 Heidi

You each need an Area Timed Entry. I would scan both of your tickets into the USJ app on one phone. Then when you schedule the Area Timed Entry you can select both of your names, so you get the same time slot.

Hi! Do you know what is the process to get entries to the Sanji's themed restaurant? It is related to the One Piece Event going on right now. We checked the official USJ site but it doesn't have any place to buy the tickets / reservations, and even if it did it, last time I checked it did not accept the credit cards from my country.

i have bought the usj ticket with a SNW time ticket pass. I have a question on how should I register the pass to my app? or i do i have the physically register at USJ?

You can link your Studio Pass to the USJ app, like I showed in this video. I think the SNW Area Timed Entry Ticket you just show separately from the app. Did you receive a QR code for that? When you get to the front of the line to enter SNW they will scan the QR code.

@@KenshoQuest thanks for the reply! yea i did receive qr code for the normal tix which is require to enter USJ , i also receive two other pdf pages for the SNW which says "Need to exchange at ANNUAL PASS CENTER" but it has qr code at all 4 sides. Do i need to go to the annual pass center to redeem my reserve time entry or i can just present to them my QR code? just a little confuse on how to redeem the time entry reserved tix for SNW

Yes, however entrance starts at 3pm on the first day, so it might be harder to get in that day. As soon as you enter USJ you can check if there are still any slots for Area Timed Entry into SNW. 🌺 Heidi

If you want to BUY an Area Timed Entry in advance, you need to purchase an Express Pass or a ticket that includes an Area Timed Entry. If you want to get a FREE Area Timed Entry through the USJ app, you need to wait until the day of your visit, once you are inside USJ. @@gabecajamarca If you don’t buy an Express Pass (separate purchase), then yes, you will wait until the day of your visit. On the day of your visit you could: 1) get in line at least 90 minutes early for USJ and head straight to Super Nintendo World when the gates open, hoping to get into SNW before they restrict access, 2) Use the USJ app to schedule an Area Timed Entry ticket as soon as you enter USJ, 3) get a Standby Area Timed Entry with a possibility of getting into Super Nintendo World.

@@KenshoQuest ok so I bought the one day pass on Klook, downloaded the USJ app, registered me and my brother, do I have to be at the USJ to do option 2? Cause I don’t wanna wait in line. When I tried to get an advance entry ticket in the app it said: “You cannot acquire another Timed Entry e Ticket until the time on your current e Ticket has passed.” Does that mean I can’t activate it until the day? Cause idk what it means by acquire another,
