I love that somebody like me that doesn't have any skills you're starting me with basic things that I can actually do everybody starts with just one step I really appreciate you doing these some basic simple stuff that I can build on and I can practice and even though I have all this extra weight on me I can work on doing basics and building on it thank you so much

Calisthenics is a thing of progression. You cannot start doing anything HARD right away, because your body cannot respond to the demands that it takes to do the really advanced things. It's all progression, little by little daily and constant training. You have to give your body time to adjust to this. It takes years to condition your body, like a dancer or a contortionist etc., You cannot do anything in one day or a few months. Also exercise is a discipline for life, not something you do for a little while, it's forever. One day at a time!

I needed to read this today. Iv switched up training with weights to focus on callisthenics but it’s bothering me the really slow progression and Iv been worried I’m loosing my strength and muscle by not doing my regular type of workouts as I’m doing these new exercises from the very bottom rung and recovering from injury - your message has helped me regain some perspective thank you x

I think you are absolutely right! This is sucha great beginner workout and people would be so smart to start here instead of diving right in to more challenging workouts when their bodies have not been conditioned for that yet. Love it. Keep up the good work!

I just recently found your channel and I’m so excited! I used to be extremely fit before three bouts with Covid, which completely decimated my body! Didn’t expect to survive it, so it’s a plus that I did. I’ve just gotten back to the point of foundational strength to start moving back into my calisthenic workouts so these beginner workouts are just what I need! Thank you 🙏🏽

I like the fact that you didn't blast me with beat up pop music for this one like many other people do for their workouts :D This was my first calisthenics workout since I mainly do HIIT, running and some random bodyweight exercises I think might work. Have been doing that for 4 years now and I really am looking for a change. Had my metal workout playlist on in the background and could follow along nicely, I had a lot of fun, thank you :3

I'm grateful that this video exists, and it was a good workout! As an absolute beginner, this challenged me the appropriate amount, and I wish there were more videos in general like this! I wish that your explanations were more thorough in how to complete them (like those ...scapula push-ups?) and that the explanations didn't lag behind some of the exercises (particularly in the beginning). Great video, for both beginners and more active people. I've done it a few times now and for example on the explosive push up portions I go a little longer to get in all the reps, also with the scap push ups and glute bridges. Love the variations and the fact that there's no super intense cardio warm up that gets me winded before getting started ;-) Perfect for days where energy levels aren't too high but you still want to do something.

Hi, it is the second workout for a beginner i did with you. I really like it:) i would like to see more variety of workouts for beginners. I do sport all my life as an amateur for my pure joy, now im very interested in calisthenics, but all the other workouts seem very difficult and i lack, i guess, strength. Nice wee workout. Even if you are an experienced and dedicated exerciser, it's nice to have a low intensity and basic workout for those days where energy is low and/or equipment is not to hand

Are mat pilates workouts fine as well? Many exercises look the same to me and I am used to doing them, so I was just wondering if I could step up a little bit and look for intermediate workouts. What do you think? Also, would you suggest weight lifting or is bodyweight enough to build muscles? I'm starting to about calisthenics learn and I have lots of questions.
