I am also transitioning from Spring to Summer in our home. I keep our extra blankets, sheets, comforters, and all the heated blankets in a labeled plastic bin with an airtight lid in my attic to save as much room in my linen closets. Mine are skinny and narrow! I also splurged on the MyPillow pillows! It's SO worth it for kids and adults. The Brooklinen sheets are the only sheets in our home! I have them for our guest bedroom and our RV! This week and all next week, we are taking advantage of some time off from work, and getting our home summer ready and cleaned! LOVED this video!

love this vid rachel, i just got done with my summer refresh! as a bit of a science nerd, one tip I have for you is to not mix vinegar and baking soda since they react chemically together, leaving you with what's essentially just water. therefore just using vinegar alone gives better cleaning results! the combo is good for cleaning out a gunky sink though due to the sizzling reaction. hope you're having a great summer

Yes. :) Thank you! 💗 We do have central air and heat. The house in Cali was more expensive, and also cost of living in CA was significantly higher all around. We downsized square footage wise, but this home (in TN) was only 1 year old when we bought it. It’s lovely, but just a smaller home altogether with about the same amount of land as our CA home. We’re just thrilled to be here in TN, and having a paid off home is definitely one of the best feelings.

Stick vacuums are terrible at getting dog hair out of carpets. You need the weight of an upright vacuum to really get that out. I know this from experience. 😂 Carpet cleaners get every last hair up though, so at least you know you're getting it out one way or another!

Oh gosh! I think you’re totally right. I had to vacuum like 700 times 😫😫 the amount of hair that comes up with the carpet cleaner freaks me out 🤢 why is it that the more I clean the more dirty I feel everything is?? 😫🙏🏻 lol

It does! 😫😫 it might seem overkill, but sometimes if it’s really dusty I will wear a mask! Luckily I’ve been keeping up with my cleaning schedule and it’s not as bad. The old house was so hard for me because it was suuuper dusty and huge!

This is NOT a steamer, but a wet extractor. You are putting down a wet solution, and extracting it back up. There are steam machines + vacuums, which hover around the $1K+ with tax.
