That's what happened to me during the touge summit.. I selected a race and it was taking forever like it was froze. So I went to the next event over and it was a drift event that took much less time and it timed me rather than taking a score

You forgot summit is an INDIVIDUAL competition, but allows people to play the races together and slipstream each other, making races with big straight sections free scores for them.

There are so many things from the crew 2 that i miss. So many quality of life stuff and features are just missing. And now they r going to release old stuff in new updates over time. I wonder how long it will take until it finally reaches the quality level of the previous game...

I don't understand why they removed features that we got implemented in the crew 2 that the community asked for, like the parts swap with just one button, or community races, or even having other pvp events other than the grand race.

Yea the glitches must be fixed but in my opinion races in live summit should be strictly individual, so no friends allowed, and hard resets should be penalised with malus like in the air races when you miss a checkpoint. There’s nothing a solo player can do against people who play with friends and it’s just not fair because there are people who can’t even take corners that get an higher score than a decent player who actually tries hard just because they slipstream in straight sections. The competitive section in this game is so stupid, and don’t get me started on the divers in grand races. Plus after you complete the playlists there’s literally nothing else to do other than grand races or demolition derby, while in tc2 they still adding a race every week.

I am satisfied with over 110,000 points in any event and most of the time I get over 115,000 to 150,000 points in the events, depending on what event (thanks to most of Militia tunes). I play by myself and the only time I play with others is when playing in the Grand or Demolition. I really don't care because there are cheaters everywhere across all platforms but most on PC.

If they can’t get rid of the cheaters/glitches than they should at least change the requirements for getting platinum in each summit event. Instead of placing above other players and getting into top 10k, it should go more the route of GT7. For example, to get platinum on an event, the player needs to complete the race in x amount of time. Same goes for gold,silver, and bronze but the the required time will be ofc longer for those placings. Like this everyone will have a fair chance to get platinum seeing how guides will be made and they’ll have nobody else to blame but themselves for either not having the proper parts/pro settings or just not being skilled enough yet to follow the routes.

Wouldn’t the easiest solution around getting resets removed be to make it just be the rewind function? Then no matter what, you can’t reset at all, just reverse time. Maybe I’m missing something, but it makes sense to me.

@@MilitiaGamingCommunity I have a problem with resets because it’s exploiting a flaw in the game. I’ve always been a fan of performance based ranking and exploiting the rest takes that away. The ranking list would be more meaningful if you know the person in 1st did it with sheer skill and using any kind of cuts available/risked. To each their own though, just my stance on it

They should get rid of the reset button, cause that has nothing to do with racing. Cant handle corner, cause its to tight, so reset on the waypoint? Those players are the biggest losers, cause they are to lazy to hit the breaks and learn how to drive. I see the most top players do it. With that huge driving skill they have, they dont need to reset, but thats my opinion. The game starts to be a big joke. Look at the levels some players are at the moment. Still not fixed either.

I hope people who choose to cheat are aware... As within The Crew 2 as well as Motorfest. When they clean the leaderboards nearing a big update, any signs of cheating result in permanent service bans. IVT has never player those games, so it's worth being aware of.

It’s nice to know this is just a glitch and people haven’t truly found a way to cheat/hack the game. I personally love the summit. It may be an unpopular opinion, but I think the shortcuts are a nice additional skill gap. You don’t get to top 100 by exploiting cuts, you get there by taking the cuts AND the best lines, tunes, parts, etc. And thanks to channels like this, I don’t have to spend hours finding the cuts on my own. I will say the reset cuts can be a little cheesy. Reset is necessary in the grand race because you can’t restart the event if you mess up, but it should be removed from the summit imo. My only other critique is the checkpoints. I rather have to just make actual contact with the checkpoint flag for it to count, rather than guessing how much I can cut it with an invisible line.

It just hasn't been Motorfest, its been The Crew & The Crew 2. Its just worse in Motorfest cause all three platforms are competing against eachother. Ubisoft need to fix the Open World Events, speed traps, slaloms and such. Cause I've seen a ground slalom completed by an aircraft, and the speed traps the 400mph+ speeds are cause they are flying to 30000 feet then divebombing the speedtrap in a car. Also they need to seperate Summit scoring back to how it was in Crew 2, where your placement was only on your platform you played on.

Right now, most of the highly skilled players believe that those vanities do in fact offer better grip/cornering but the difference is marginal. I can’t say for sure if it’s actually true. I would need to run a test.

Quite a world we live in now. In my book resetting your car is cheating. Not running the event on the layed out route (using shortcuts) is cheating. Guess we were raised differently.

It’s one thing if the “shortcuts” were out of bounds on a closed in track. But the developers have been improving this “Crew World” for nearly 6 years. They know EXACTLY what players do with sloppy checkpoints and they CHOOSE to place check points off corners and around large curves basically begging players to find a shorter way through. The cuts and resets are 100% by design and add a small layer of “puzzle” to each race which I absolutely love. It’s an arcade racing game and the franchise has always leaned toward mechanics that are fun rather than mechanics that are closer to reality.

sound like a lot of bs, never happened to me, been playing cr1, 2 and this on both platforms, there is always glitchers and cutters in this games, regardless of online protection also resets should be punished with 10 secs penalty for each reset and if you do more than 5 add another minute on top lol, see how far glitchers will go with that, of course most glitchers who can't drive will cry rivers, cause that's what they do

Yes. Because those things are available to all players as they are well known built in mechanics of the game. Those times are direct results of the game glitching…which ruins the integrity of the competition. Competition integrity is based on it being a fair playing field, which it is when it comes to the things you mentioned…but not glitches.

Im sorry to say that, but i dont belive most of them that it's unintentional, because there were simalar exploits and glitches in The Crew 2 an the people always claimed it was accidentaly. Until one of the top players showed how to glitch the game and that most of the people were lying.

That's absolutely true. Using a glitch intentionally should make there results worthless. If it happens without purpose it's a loss of time and it keeps the leaderboards clean.

Any chance that you can shed more light about how far from a checkpoint you need to be to actually check it? Sometimes I go really close to the outside of the checkpoint, or at least I think I am, and I get "Checkpoint missed", but I see on your videos moments when you are really far away from a checkpoint and you still pass it somehow. I was wondering if there is a general rule for that or something.

Each checkpoint seems to be a little different. It takes LOTS of attempts to figure out just how far away I can be. So by the time you see it in the video, I've already got it nailed down.

I'm not very competitive, so the design of the summit is flawed to begin with anyway. I could be playing at the start and get some good results, but by the end of the event, I'm knocked back to bronze. For people with less time or lack of skills, we most likely won't get that platinum. I'm just hoping they would sell these prize cars after🤷🏻

I`m on XBOX X and play this game immersly. Didn`t have the glitch single time yet. Chose to buy it on Xbox to avoid meeting cheaters - which do plague PC version of this game. On day one of reset some of the folks are already on so high lv of legend now that it is just ridiculous- but that is a diffrent story. I would love all of `em to be banned. This game is so fun to play - and I literally don`t get it - what`s the point? U are not competitive, U lack skill U just play to cheat ?? Have no clue what`s the point of it.

Only thing i have to say on this to make the game that much more fair just add more checkpoints to each race to even out the summit times and shorten these shortcuts. Their cheaters everywhere and u cant stop them all. It sucks on this game cause i can be in the top 500 first day and by end of week end up 11000 even with improved scores. Its the world we live in 🤷🏾‍♂️
