You live and breath on a little piece of heaven on earth. Thank you my friend for sharing 🇨🇦

We had considered this hike on our second and probably last visit to Moraine Lake, but then after much debate opted for an easy Eiffel Lake hike, as we had done Mt Temple two days before and were still in a recovery mode. (Mt Temple is 16 km 1700 m elevation gain scramble/grind). Thank you for the detailed video, including descent. Much appreciated. It does not look too intimidating after Temple, but still quite intense. In a hindsight I think we made the right call to choose an easier hike on a maintained trail for the last day.

This will be a piece of cake after doing Temple. I haven't done temple but from what Ive seen ya this one should be no problem.

@@IdRatherBeHiking I would not call Tower of Babel a piece of cake based on your video. We were still feeling a bit tired after completing Mt Temple two days ago and I also had scratched my fingers during Mt. Temple scramble. I think we made the right choice for a recovery hike. Maybe one day we will return to Moraine Lake and complete Tower of Babel, but not in the near future given the difficult access to Moraine Lake. We had to book the Parks Canada shuttle bus several months in advance.

ROCK ON!!! A year ago I'd done this one but gone up to the right side in the pre-dawn hour. Here's to storming the castle of Tower of Babel 🥾🥾

Tower of Babel from last summer, had some major corruption on the frame rates I never realized in the original release of the video. Everything fixed now and video has been re-edited better now.

I just tried to climb this rock yesterday but I attempted to go through the narrow pass on the right (you went through the left one) and I had no helmet. When I got to that narrow pass I saw huge chunks of rocks crumbling down. Got really scared cause I wasn't wearing a helmet so had to abort the mission and go back down. So disappointed.
@IdRatherBeHiking Жыл бұрын
that one goes up higher and requires a dangerous downclimb to the view point. Probably for the best come back another day, the mountain isn't going anywhere

@IdRatherBeHiking Yup definitely coming back to finish the climb, but next time I'll go through the same route as you.

Hi David, Nice video. What camera did you used to record the videos? It's very stable.

Nicely put together with the music in the beginning. You might want to use better footwear instead of those floppy ones you wore. :)

I'm a trail runner so I prefer soft hiking boots that allow me to really feel the ground.
