Congrats on the new shop. Hope it goes well for ya! I know what you mean about the chapters of life, being in dental school really has taken a toll on my ability to make FJ videos 😂

Hopefully the shop situation only gets gooder from now on. The 7075 Aluminum is alloyed with zinc, compared to like a 6061 which is alloyed with magnesium and silicon. This gives the 7075 better corrosion resistance as well as twice the tensile strength. However, this increase in tensile strength decreases its elongation, or strain for the same stress. All this is to say 7075 is less bendy than 6061 but can take harder hits before it permanently bends. Hope your new shop gets going!

Thanks for the great explanation about aluminum!

Good luck with the new shop! You keep uploading I will keep watching... and will happily wait however long I have to in between. I always thought that the hollow tube would be stronger than solid. Those new links are beefy AF 😎👍

I've been watching you for a little while now, since before the major beastifacation of the FJ. I live in Vegas and do a good bit of trails here in my 04' Suburban. Id love to make a trip to Idaho. I've been through once but didn't have time to do anything. Im definitely in need of a road trip. Good luck with everything. Maybe see ya up there someday.

Hey I love your videos. Just some constructive criticism, you need running water, a small front office/break room/and a vehicle lift. It's gunna cost a PILE of money to get started/insured/tools/diagnostics. Turning a fun hobby into a business can be very challenging, but I really think your a cool dude and I love your FJ. Follow your heart & dreams 👍
@offroadhub.official2 жыл бұрын
Good points. I do have the tools already fortunately. Everything else are things that can be dealt with in various ways I think.

@@offroadhub.official That's cool, you've also got a lot of experience and the will to succeed. I had a landscaping business I built from scratch and sold at the peak in 2006, so I definitely know the joys and pains of being a sole proprietor. Would I do it again? Absolutely 😀

You should move to Russia where fuel is cheap and you can afford to drive your vehicle as far as you want without being concerned about fuel costs.
