I myself have never tried dehydrated food yet, I have never had to. That may be handy on a hike if you get hungry that is if you have boiled water too...glad you liked it...those are also handy in a camper like us. _Kaylla

I ordered some of these rations for wild camping and have tried the beef stew so far which was great if not a tad too much pepper for me but all in all tasty and filling

That looks way better than the wet pack MRE’s .. big portion full of chunks. Some of the wet foods don’t have a lot in them. I’d like to try them. ATB mate Dan

The only down side I see (beside the price perhaps), If the weather was very cold after 8 minutes it could have cooled down quite a bit, but with that zip lock maybe you could put it inside your jacket, that could end very badly of course :-) :-)
