Actually cops in New York do it all time. They also do this thing where they’ll scan every single plate in a parking lot until they find one that has a warrant, even for something as stupid as unpaid parking tickets, and then they’ll tail you when you leave and pull you over with whatever excuse they want to use and it’s legal. A lot of cops, especially city cops, have quotas that they have to fill.

Some absolutely would. I was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant after having my door kicked in & hit in the face with a shotgun, & taken in a car at gunpoint & kidnapped. Neighbors saw them shoving me into the car at gunpoint. The guys have me call for money, my grandfather comes with money & they let me go. Soon as I pull up to my house… in my boxers, broken nose, all cut up & muddy. I walk in & the cop comes through the back door & arrests me. The neighbors knew I was the victim, knew exactly who the guys were & told the cop everything. So instead of helping IN ANY WAY, he’s running a victim’s name for warrants…

The problem is the same for X and the green gang RDMing, power gaming and stream sniping. Some people know how to RP and when to have some nuance to a situation when it's clearly needed. People like Afro who rdm killed X for no reason several times and got ooc salty when he did it back and still didn't get shit for it. Cops can be great rp'ers or play strictly by the books by what is and isn't allowed to become super nerds. That's why rp can be instant classics or watch fun vampire's suck the fun out of the room. True, but there's a fine line between RP and trying to simulate real life. NoPixel is a place where you RP, yes, but you're meant to do it in a way that has less to do with what options you know you have as a player, and more to do with playing into situations like an NPC would. As such, NO situation should have a "realistic" outcome, because that's not exactly what NoPixel is trying to do. Even the other cops knew they had crossed a line when they heard Summit getting pissed and started trying to back the sentence down, but the one cop (an actual cop in real life, no surprise there) just wanted to "go by the book". I would agree with you if this was just some random RP server where they were trying to be as true to life as possible. This is not that, and those cops know better.

What I've seen the cops have been mostly fine but that was some bullshit. When they were trying to bring the guy to the hospital they couldn't just laugh it off like haha yeah we both know what's going on but in this scenario let's pretend like we don't and not go check the licence plates, like goddamn I would be pissed too. On top of that adding to the charges. I don't even remember Charles pushing anyone since he was down a long time handcuffed while the other guy was knocking them down like bowling pins which is the reason Charles too was at the ground. And giving the additional charge on top of all that just because he was trying to clearly be friendly to smooth it over a bit. It felt like the cop was creating unneccesary friction acting like all criminal rp:ers would be his real enemies.

Summit was literally just trying to give RP for EMS, instead, the police show up and take him to the hospital. If someone calls EMS, they don't want the police. Police could look at the situation and press charges for whatever reason they wanted. There should be a level of immunity for EMS calls that police respond to, otherwise the police are literally ruining EMS RP because criminals they won't call them anymore.

The fact that they're real cops isn't the core of the issue, it just begs the question when they start playing hyper sweaty and charging people "by the book" for every benign little thing. Hunting rifles can't even really hurt people, to call that "brandishing a weapon" just because it was bound to the wrong key and accidentally pulled out...that's trying way too hard. At that point, it's not a NoPixel improv session, it's not even a game. It's just a simulation. The fact that you think you're making it sound so ridiculous is proof that you don't understand RP. It's not about making the game as realistic as possible, it's about putting on a show. "Winning" in any capacity should be frowned upon. It just makes sense that he's a real cop is what I'm saying, and it doesn't help because it seems like he's unable to separate the game from his job. You notice how Summit will let people get in front of him sometimes when they make mistakes in races? You notice how he's constantly coaching other players to help them improve their experience? He's not ALWAYS trying to win at literally everything in the game, and he doesn't try to resist situations even if he's technically able to. He plays into them, because that's literally the point of this server. They're supposed to be playing like NPCs, not people. By checking his plate, asking him to come along with him in order to arrest him for a warrant is not entrapment. Honestly, the cops in 3.0 compared to the ones in 2.0 makes the 3.0 cops look like Bambi straight out the womb It's more balanced than it was ever was, back in 2.0 cops had the best guns, the fastest cars, bulletproof armor, etc. The server is updating constantly and if the cops are getting better then the criminals need to also. With more criminals and new crimes you can commit popping up in the server and the limited amount of cops that can be on duty, they need to at least have the upper hand. Also they're criminals, what do you expect the authorities would do if people just carelessly steal cars on the street (sorry if it's bad english)

Whole problem was that police showed up for an EMS call. They literally only called EMS to give them RP. Now, in the same situation, EMS aren't going to be called or given RP because criminals have to gamble on whether or not police will show up for no reason instead. Now they will just drive them to the hospital themselves. It's fail RP

The call went through, both EMS and Police are informed of the situation, one and/or the other is going to show up, they wouldn't leave someone injured on the side of the road. Put yourself in the situation, say you were in a nasty car accident that incapacitated you irl and EMS was busy, wouldn't you want someone to take you to the hospital? You know what could have avoided the whole situation at the hospital? Driving the injured there themselves without calling 911 or avoiding the crash in the first place. They wanted to give EMS RP... that's great and all but they were busy and walked themselves alongside cops into the hospital while having warrants for their arrests. Besides, it's a roleplay server... they're not reading from any scripts. A streamer and their viewers can't expect things to go their way 100% of the time. The goal of the server is to have fun, there is no such thing as win/lose. Imagine how boring it would be if all the cops were pushovers that let criminals get away with everything. Imagine how boring it would be if all criminals get screwed over by the cops every time. There's absolutely no reason for anybody get butthurt over it.
