I always thought you put stroke visiting region after your call

I thought so too. The accent was throwing me off also. Lol

@@W6RIPRadioAdventures No, in my experience the local reference goes first, so he properly said W6/DL...... When we go foreign it is MM/KG5.... etc. Watching these videos it is easy to think "how did he miss that reference/call sign" etc., but I have done the exact same thing where being tired, or somewhat dehydrated, my brain is slower. Climbing mountains is real work and toss in the weather, bugs, and other distractions and I think as a whole we do very well in activations.

I could see how you would be hooked on SOTA after a first time view like that. How many activations have you done ? I think I would be thrown off getting a German station too. :)

Yeah it was weird. He had to repeat his call a few times. The accent and interference made it hard. I'm in the 40s on activations. 73

Another nice Vid Kevin. What is the name of the green mast you are using and where did you purchase it? I need to get a smaller/lighter one than the 30ft SOTABeam mast I am using now. Tnx Tim - K5DEZ

Thank You Tim! The mast link is in the description below the video. Its just a telescoping bamboo mast. Light, cheap and works well. I bought 2. Lol. 73!
