Definitely my favorite School of magic, always liked the idea of summoning beings from other realms in fantasy

Basically the summons that matter 1. Incarnate: Highest adaptability 2. Bone Widow: Best Physical 3. Dragonling: Best Magical, but only does Fire. If you want to have access to bone widow play necromancer (living on the edge and death wish are phenomenal necro abilities for a summoner and pair really well with supercharger to turn double damage into triple damage when used properly while also negating the usual cost of losing your summon). You will usually not need to use anything other than your incarnate, but bone widow and dragonling are genuinely worth using. It is worth ignoring whatever attack spells you get as a summoner to instead replace them with spells from other schools (necromancer as stated earlier is an amazing choice and will give that extra bit of sustain). To get Dragonling you need either a high intelligence decent persuasion lizard summoner with pet pal, the red prince, or an undead that can disguise as a lizard for the lizard interaction. It is not possible to control who gets the black cat, but the summoner will not need it outside of situational moments about midway through act 1; where an incarnate will die early and the ability to swap with the black cat summon could get you out of dodge; though it is more useful when other characters have the black cat. This school is actually pretty similar to Necromancer in how both schools are easily the most Over-Powered schools of magic (which is a lot in a game where every skill route is amazing and all mages are crazy strong) and also happen to have a lot of amazing synergy with each other if you decide to run a Necro Summoner or Variety summoner and how the Necromancer gets 3 summons. Though both also share the same weakness through how Act 1 is the most-difficult act for them with every following act being a breezy and steep snowball tumble towards making Tactician laughably easy. This is due to lacking a lot of the skills that truly compliment your build(s); with the necromancer not having all of their broken op support abilities and their abilities that can easily OHKO most-to-all opponents when setup properly (alongside a lot of their other OP quirky abilities), and with the summoner not yet being at Summoner 10 (where most every summon gets a heavier buff than the skill itself notes, and with the incarnate actually evolving); while also lacking access to any ability to survive and attack properly on its own without tokens or incarnates carrying them (where trying to mend that will only neuter how quickly you could reach summoner by 1 level for each point spent elsewhere). Though after act 1, having a summoner and/or necromancer present in your party will be extremely beneficial, if not mandatory depending on what kind of party you are running, and which difficulty you are running it on

Hello and thank you for the video! How does the Incarnate champion get the source points to cast things like Closed Circuit?
@hagahagane6 жыл бұрын
Ron Barfield you're welcome. When you cast infused skill that use source (infused ice, cursed fire,etc) incarnate automatically get source. It's just enough to cast source skill once. The only way i know to make incarnate get source again is probably get into source pool. Or just cast other source infuse skill and make incarnate have source again. The limit is the summoner source, which i guess for balancing purpose

How did your incarnate cast Epidemic of fire and not use up it's Source?
@hagahagane5 жыл бұрын
If you see it in 08:45 Epidemic of Fire in the summon skill only use AP and don't use source. It's a bug in early DoS 2 version.

how do you get your incarnate to level 10?
@hagahagane4 жыл бұрын
just raise your summoning skill to level 10. Level 1-9 will give you small incarnate. You only get different level/size incarnate at summoning 10

At what point in the game can i get the element infusions
@hagahagane4 жыл бұрын
just combine summoning skill book with other magic skill book (pyro, hydro, aero, or geo) with both of them are normal skill book, for normal element infussion and either one of them is source skill book for source element skill book (cursed electric, acid, ice, and necrofire infussion) Look at "Skillbook Crafting" in divinityoriginalsin2.wiki.fextralife.com/Skill+Books

This is why I don't like classless systems. Developers can't really focus on making good looking abilities, animations and serious skill trees. It's insane how much can be done in RPG turn based games but they always end up with boring looking skills.

It's still fun. My laptop has poor graphics and the game is still fun.
