Black-Winged dragon was actually not intended to be a signer dragon until the second season of 5DS. You can tell by flashbacks in the Earthbound Immortals arc that featured Life Stream Dragon instead of Black-Winged.

There's the note of Black-Winged Dragon was added later since Crow wasn't originally a Signer, but rather a Dark Signer. In earlier episodes when you see the 5 dragons in flashbacks you do actually see Life Stream Dragon

The reason why leo didnt become a signer until later on was because blackwings were so popular they scraped the idea to make crow a dark signer so they replaced leo with him also before crow becomes a signer any flashback that happend had life stream dragon but after crow became a signer it was black winged dragon

The most interesting thing MD taught me was that Impermanence doesnt just negate set spell/trap cards for the turn, but all spell or trap cards plated on that row for the turn I set it just cause was my only play at the time, but when I Impermanence once key piece, he had ways to restore his combo, but he played a spell on the column I had set Imperm, and got instantly negated, initially I was a bit confused , and since my oponent tool some time, he too must have been, some plays later he played Super Poly on that column too, and it tpo got negated, thats when I finally understood what Imperm actually does, if set for the turn it is activated, the oponent only has 4 spell columns, and anything used on that column, no matter what, gets instantly negated

I usually use Impermanence to pass through Imperial Order or Skill drain. And well to be honest some spell or trap cannot be negate even active under Impermanence collum like drytron ritual under field effect

@@Waisnman I know that, since their field is protecting them already, Imperm lingering effect cannot reach, but cause not many know how Imperm actually work, and assume that its only on set cards, I normally put imperm on a open column and a brick spell or even a solemn on a set card, so they tend to waste removal on the other card and leave imperm, only to later learn by experience, they cant use that column now, got quite a few scoops like that

That's why you always set Imperm in the center, because 90% of the time that's where they play spells

Happy Thursday! Really enjoy yesterday and today's videos as I actually never saw 5D. It's neat to see some strong decks from it! Would LOVE to see a Blackwing deck based around Full Armor Master to hopefully counter the floowandereeze decklists as he can't be targeted by any other effect if he's on the board first (i say this because his effect even prevents skill drain from targeting him, according to the rules i was reading)

My favorite 5Ds deck while watching the show had to be either any earthbound immortal or the red rose dragon. Of course you can’t play the fairy dragon since it’s banned, but still wish it was possible. Also that combo for this video was insane! Getting all of those cards out is a feat that I didn’t expect could happen so seamlessly.

My favourite deck from 5D’s has got to be Archfiends. Jack Atlas was such a badass to me as a kid, with his whole ‘power over all else’ ideals and willingness to sacrifice his friends to become king. It really shows through with his cards too: Red Dragon Archfiend blasts aside anything that doesn’t try to match its power, even its allies. Red Supernova Dragon (and to a lesser extent Red Nova Dragon) similarly dominate the battlefield with sheer brute force and destruction.

fun fact, if you somehow manage to get predaplanning ready, you can actually make all monsters on the field level 1 while life stream dragon is in the graveyard, allowing you to do the 5 signer shooting quasar dragon. I may or may not have an example on my channel lol

My favorite 5D's era deck's are split tbh, Character and show wise, hands down, Infernities were my favorite. Kalin is my favorite character in 5D's and one of the best scenes to me in the series was his duels vs Lawton in Crash Town and he used Doom Slinger... yo. Epic. But side from that, I also was a major fan and still hope to see more support one day for Scraps. The mechanics, the monsters, everything about the archetype was fire to me when that era came around. Even enjoyed losing to them I was that into scraps xD

My favorite 5Ds deck was the Team Sun stall deck. Just being a hodge podge hope and prayer type deck made from scavenged cards is kinda like my decks. Though i will say stardust and galaxy dragons are neat! For challenges, I would like to see a pauper deck where everything is the common rarity.

Hmm. My favorite 5DS deck would actually have to be Leo and Luna's first deck showed in the manga (I forgot what the archetype was called, but they had a continuous trap that made them all count as Morphtronics), mainly because of how unique the designs and effects of each card was- I mean, going from a field spell that halves all battle damage to one that DOUBLES all battle damage in the form of a fairy tale storyline? Awesome!

My favorite 5Ds deck was fortune ladies. They were my main deck for so long. At one point I even combined fortune ladies with the x-saber arch type. It worked most of the times and was a lot of fun before I made it back into a pure fortune ladies deck again. That’s how I got my name Fortune-X from my friends when I use the fortune ladies/x-saber hybrid deck lol

Favorite 5Ds deck for me is Yusei Fudo's. Thinking back on the series, it just has this nostalgic feel because I tried to build a deck IRL just like his.
