I ended up pulling more and now she is legendary and I have 3 new epics.....I swear I don't have a gacha addiction

You're running out of gold cuz you keep leveling every character you get. You should only lvl up your 5 most ascended heroes, as for the rest link them. So choose the 5 you want to keep lvling up with resources and reset the others in the ark and link them afterward.

Ahhh that makes sense. I have been focusing on 5 recently and my gold resources have been much better. I appreciate it!:)
