I'm not too sure if I like the new damage system. Instead of losings blocks our vehicle just explodes completely, especially the small ones. If we could at least choose between both systems or modify the level of durability that would be so much better.

Yes, especially vehicle vs vehicle collisions are soo bad. Why can't they be the same as when falling or slamming into a wall? No one knows

@@riccardopetrina4212 I think the only thing good is that now we can jump without losing all of our wheels, but it's probably something they could fix just by making suspension and wheels a bit stronger.

@@riccardopetrina4212 I have to agree, it seems like vehicle vs environment got a lot better but vehicle vs vehicle got much worse, certainly less predictable. Lots of odd low-speed collisions suddenly cause huge damage.

It seems there are some collision calculation problems with the damage update that they need to iron out. So I'm thinking that may be in the works especially with the feedback that keeps coming through on all the videos like this

It was a great idea to change the damage system but they just executed it quite poorly

I was going to comment that an indestructible option would be great for builds for things like this. Or for races where you don't want to worry about losing due to breaking.

@infebris building things for their functionality instead of their durability, for example being able to make racers with out having to worry about them randomly exploding when you mildly clip an invisible seam

@infebris several reasons have been given in this comment thread let alone many others, the point of the game isn't determined by destructible blocks, some things like demo derby and fighting eachother are yeah, but stuff like wrestling where the point is to push out of the ring not destroy or racing where you are more interested with your speed around a track then randomly exploding, most games that have a creative build system also have an indestructible mode, it doesn't take away from the game, if you don't wanna use it then turn the setting off, it would have to be a game setting like the waves tho not a creation setting

Looks to me like ProfNCognito has built the perfect sumo vehicle. Hopefully someone comes up with a less glitchy map... and as others have said, an indestructibility mode in the main game would be cool for this kind of thing too.

next time make a rule to have 2 blocks of space underneath the vehicle on suspension. that gets rid of the problem with the arena and the weight distribution becomes more prominent. because of the suspension you are more likely to flip and get pushed then get destroyed immediately. ❤❤❤
