He almost lost because of not playing it, since he knew from the previous turn that only 5 puffcaps were on the top 4 cards. The 5th luckily had 2.

He actually would have won that game if they both end round. The very next card the opponent draw was 2 dmg where GrappLr’s was only 4, leaving him at 1hp. But I guess he was taking an average of 4.8 per card draw where his opponent was only taking 1 per draw so he felt his best bet was going for the draw.

@@Vipertooth007 as I said, on average he would lose next turn drawing 5 puffcaps, whereas his opponent would only draw 1 resulting in him losing. So going for the tie is a safer play. It just so happened that in this specific instance he would have gotten lucky and would have won instead.

That landmark reminds me of a very old card in Magic called Crumbling Sanctuary. It got banned after someone ran an unbelievable deck with it during a World Championship I believe. It milled you whenever you would lose life instead. Not the same effect exactly, but very close thematically. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets nerfed eventually or even rotated next year.

4:59 - 5:24 I'm very confused, am I misunderstanding how the Sump Monument works? Everyone talks about "lethal" this and that, but I don't see how it matters... the card stops all and infinite damage does it not? Unless they have a destroy Landmark, there's literally no way for them to hurt your deck. Don't you want to just let them hit with everything, and get even more shrooms? As far as I'm aware there are only 3 Fast cards in the game that can remove a landmark, and they're only in Ionia, Noxus, and Targon. So why block at all? I'm actually asking because I feel like I have to be misunderstanding the card, because Sump Monument seems like it prevents almost every deck in the game from being able to win, short of landmark destruction decks.
