I usually just make them with left over batter. I’ll color one brown and keep one white. Just take a little of each color and add it to the mold. Kind of like a on the pot swirl.
@jillcochran97943 жыл бұрын
I love it!! 🌊🌺🐚

Man she was thick, and that fragrance sped things up! You're brave doing all those colors with how thick it was lol.
@OpheliasSoapery3 жыл бұрын
The fragrance actually behaved beautifully. I’ll definitely be using it again. This thickness of the batter is my preferred trace. The sand layer was blended extra so it would be harder for the next layer. But oh yes I love that thickness. Perfect for in the pot swirls and hanger swirls. Probably wouldn’t be good for small single loaves. But for big slabs it is ideal 😍

I am SO EXCITED that I purchased the seashell mold (and a few other things) from you this week!!! I really would love to try this soap so I can share it with you. Last time I did that on the 4 butter soap, I FAILED miserably because I didn’t have my oils ready before trying the heat transfer method for the first time! This soap just made my day 😍 I do have a question though 🙋🏻♀️ Did you mix soap colors for the shells or paint the colors on later?
@OpheliasSoapery3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much!!! With the sea shells I’ll have a bit of brown soap and uncolored and I’ll use a angled spatula and take a bit of both and fill in the cavities with it :)
@bellabella54283 жыл бұрын
I love it.. is it okay to cure the soap only for 2 weeks..
@OpheliasSoapery3 жыл бұрын
Technically CP soap is safe to use after 24 hours. But the longer you let it cure the more water can evaporate and the bar will be harder. So technically speaking. Yes. But I like to cure for at least a month.

Gorgeous!!! Since you use coconut milk, do you just let it sit with the lid on or do you cover it with a blanket? I was thinking the milk would make it get pretty hot?
@OpheliasSoapery3 жыл бұрын
I cover with a lid and a towel. I tried lots of different amounts of coconut milk to see which amount would over heat. I landed on 3%. It doesn’t over heat with that amount :)
