I have some similar positions in my chart such as Rahu in the 9th (my Rahu has conjunction with Mars), Sun retro Mercury and retro Venus conjunction in the 8th house. I've convinced that risk is necessary if 8th house is active. Foreign cultures languages travelings as well. I adore astrology and other occult knowledge, religion. And my ever problem how much I give ( money, attention, time, everything) and how much I receive.

My venus is not retro, though my mars aspects only ketu it is never conjunct rahu like yours as you said.
