@@brycu1474 In China, the government controls capital and not capital controls the government as in the US. China is a "socialist market economy", a mixture of planned and private economic elements. The state organizes and plans economic development, making sure that no monopolies form and large corporations do not abuse their market power to eliminate unwanted competition. Corporations (including private ones) are considered collective property in China and important infrastructure such as the defense industry, power generation, oil and petrochemicals, telecommunications, coal mining, aviation and shipping are also public property and remain under the absolute control of the state. This mentality is also reflected in patent law, inventions should serve the well-being of the people and humanity and are not there to be monopolized by the inventor or any large corporations for commercial purposes. In my hometown of Shenzhen, for example, the government recently forced landlords to drastically reduce rents so that poorer people, who are indispensable for economic growth, can also afford an apartment in the city center and do not have to drive 2 hours to get to work. Apartments are there for people to live in and not as objects of speculation! As you can see, unlike in many western countries, the government is not afraid to take on free enterprise and big business when it comes to defending social justice. Although capitalist elements have mixed into Chinese society, the socialist core and socialist philosophy have remained the same.

Because I am an utter nerd I will give you the answer. Some operas: search for "Sister Jiang" 江姐, there's a full version on KZbin by the National Centre for Performing Arts. The full version of the "Long March Cantata" 长征组歌can also be found. There's also "Red Coral" 红珊瑚 which you won't find on KZbin but there's excerpts like Ode to Coral. There's also "Red Guards on Honghu Lake" 洪湖赤卫队. Some other songs that I love: 《英雄战歌》 《我爱五指山》《我爱你中国》《怀念战友》《松花江上》《紫藤花》
