It really is nice to see a new cabin class piston twin coming to the market, but coming from somebody who maintained a fleet of Piper Navajo Chieftains in Alaska for 13 years, I don't see very good single engine performance coming from this machine, it just doesn't have the numbers for it, that being said, I personally saw 7 Navajo's loose engines in flight, all of them were in a loaded configuration with passengers and mail, and all but one aircraft made it back safe on the remaining power, but a couple of the pilots did say that even with full power on the remaining engine, they were still coming down.

Not missing anything, this is fixed gear, like an Islander or Twin Otter. Better for weight and maintenance and safety. On a short run you're spending so much time in climb and descent/landing pattern the extra speed would not apply much or the time.

Yes, Paul may have failed to make and play a test recording (in video production that’s like a preflight inspection plus a run-up) to listen for defective audio. Maybe it was a level setting error or an impedance mismatch. Another good practice when the English-second-language talker has an accent is to add open captions. And, yes, without fill lighting, Paul missed the opportunity to put him in the shade under the high wing (even sitting if there isn’t enough head room) and that would made for nice, uniform soft lighting plus the presenter could have removed his off-putting dark glasses. Pilots never stop learning about flying and they should extend that to other activities, too.
