We travel to Sun Valley Idaho to visit the top ski resort in the USA. Was it worth it? During our stay we visit Ketchum, Idaho and Frenchmen’s Bend Hot Springs.

Expensive, but secluded as far a major ski resorts. You will get your skiing money's worth, not waiting in line. Often lower amounts of snow than other major resorts, but huge snow making system. Cold, but little wind chill. Lots of sunny ☀️ days. Very well kept, clean, and luxurious. 1st. class all the way.

I went down the warms springs side on a lunch tray. Long story short, we were cleaning the restaurant and shutting it down for the spring and summer. Got to the bottom after sliding down limelight and all the rest. Boss was waiting for us at the bottom 😂 thought we were getting fired for sure! Totally worth it.

Thank you so much for the video. So every year I try and go somewhere different and I try and book my trip based on things to do as well as ski. Do you feel there was enough to do in town or any sort of nightlife? I don’t want to spend a week at the resort and my hotel room lol thanks again

There were a good bit of shops and restaurants in Ketchum as well as a cute little shopping square in Sun Valley. We honestly didn't go into Ketchum during night, but Sun Valley seemed a bit quiet after dark. We were only there for 3 nights I think so we basically just went skiing each day and back to our rental home. Also, that hot spring one day!

I love SV, but it is not the best resort in the US It is GREAT. but not the best. The main issue is the mountain and the weather. The mountain is sort of one dimensional. The Sawtooth mountains are named that for a reason. They pretty much rise constantly all the way to the peak. No flats. So, Baldy is pretty steep, little terrain variety (all pitch), and mostly groomed skiing. When storms come it tends to warm, which means the powder skiing is not comparable to UT. But if you want to rack up vertical and miles of FAST skiing, there is probably no better mountain. The lodges, amenities and town are all top notch. Great, but a bit too one dimensional to be considered the best.
