Before 2012, Sun Yang didn't swim like this. I mean, his head looked forward a bit. In 2012, he changed his head position to be submerged underwater when not breathing. This has improved his swimming speed a lot.

notice his kicking is actually dolphin kick but pretended kicking like flutter kick. the power is dolphin kick power

find it interesting that in the first part it looks like he is kicking on the side where the arm starts to catch/pull as im told to do, but at around 1 minute mark it looks like he doesn't kick at all between catch pull phase?

@@rudigeiger7422 I disagree with that, he will become only stronger and better, head position is crucial for sighting in open water and as long asd it does not destroy your body alignment it is totally fine, even Ian Thorpe managed to look nearly straigth forward but his alignment was just perfect.
@Utilitarismopastroni2 жыл бұрын

Why is Florian unable to break the Sun Yang 1500m world record if his technique is superior?

@@drym3943 Wrong. If you're a lot stronger than most people, pulling your body through the water and getting better technique would be easier. That's why your technique isn't as good when you wear a drag suit.

I know that 1500 meters is impossible to swim in this time meaning that the title was mistyped but explain how drugs help you swim faster because swimming is not a body building competition, if anything a body builder would suck at swimming because it’s a lot about mobility, if it is stimulants then explain how

@@codynik204 Your comment seems to be kind of naive at least. Pro level swimmers have an immense training routine. 10-15 km a day. Have you ever swum 5 km in a training session? Faster and better recovery helps a lot, it is not about gaining muscle mass.
