Sunbanks Blues Fest | Jones Bay, WA | May 2022

Second on my list, after Escape Makers Bazaar & Fire Festival, was the Sunbanks Blues Festival. I had several days between events, so I decided to camp out at Jones Bay, WA, a small campground near Electric City, that has beautiful waterfront campsites. I always enjoy a little bit of solitude after a Festival weekend. It felt great to be close to the water, the campground was pretty much empty, perfect spot for me!
The Sunbanks Blues Festival is held twice a year, usually in May and September at the Sunbanks Lake Resort near Electric City, WA. It's about a 230 mile distance from Portland, OR. They just recently added a County Fest, held in June.

Shelley, I have travelled all around the world and consider travelling within the United States as very safe. Precautions: Being aware of my surroundings and using common sense. If a place does not feel safe I move on. I stay connected with friends and family, letting them know where I am, especially when I stay in areas without phone service. And of course I have a few items for self defense….
