Sunbeam Mixmaster

This video will review, discuss, and operate an old Sunbeam Mixmaster mixer I found in my basement. I believe this mixer is from the 1970’s and has a model number of 1-7A.

Never put the beaters in the chimney which is actually called a juicer port attachment BTW My mother used to own a Sunbeam Mixmaster!!

Thanks for this detailed video! I recently found an identical mixer for $20 bucks in a charity thrift shop. It works like a charm! One set of the beaters were attached when I bought it. I watched your video to learn how to eject the beaters (DUH it was so simple). And I was happy to learn that the button on the back releases the entire mixer from the stand. By the way, I think the model number is on the underside of the bottom of the stand. Mine has 100-86659 etched into it, and that is the number I used to search for my mixer online. This old mixer is the perfect "in between" tool...When I don't want to be stuck in place holding on to my handmixer while it works, and the heavy duty KitchenAId Classic stand mixer is too much mixer for the job.

Ty for this video. I got a mixmaster that is used and I’ve been making bread dough with it. And I just wanted some directions on what the back switch did. I couldn’t quite figure it out. I thought it locked it into place but as turns out it is a switch that can you can detach the top part with it so thank you for that. I appreciate it.

To release the beaters....look directly at the face of the mixer, and rotate the handle to the left....or from another view, place the mixer so the beaters are on the right, then grab the handle and pull or rotate it towards you...the beaters pop right out....your all going to shake your head and yell out..."No Effin way !!

Yep, that's exactly what I yelled when I saw this video! So simple. I was originally trying to push beater in, turn and pull it out like on my newer mixers. Thanks!

the mixing paddle with the plastic bit always goes in the left side on every mix master

The port on top of the unit is NOT for beater storage. There were attachments, including a juicer attachment that could be attached there.

It's for different attachments. I have the slicer shredder food processor attachment for mine.

How do you remove the beaters?

The reason the turntable comes off is there is a blender attachment it's it's the whole and it's also driven by one of the beater hole. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qH3Nh32IrL-ofJI
