Dear Suncast, thank you for the most unhelpful help video ever produced. Like other commenters mention, our box did not come with instructions. Your "good friend Caitlin" shows how the tab slot system works, but doesn't mention that the front and side pieces have to go on first and the end pieces go on last. That would actually have been helpful to know so that I didn't end up taking all the pieces multiple times trying to get them all attached. The metal rod that she mentions "really sturdies it up" --- does it go in the lid? In the box? Front? Back? Who knows? "Caitlin" doesn't say. Those shocks she's so excited about? How do they attach? There are some screws that I assume are used in the process but again, no instructions in the box, and Caitlin decides to keep it a secret so that there will be no future purchases of Suncast products by anyone who purchased this one. After watching numerous other videos of people trying to put this box together, I came to the conclusion that those screws should have been put on BEFORE we attached the brackets in the corner. Oops! Who knew? Not Caitlin. And clearly not anyone at Suncast. Oh, but thank you Caitlin for showing me how to put cushions in the box. I never could have figured that part out by myself.....

Instead of a cutesy video why not do one that actually shows how to put this thing together. It would be far more helpful. I’m surprised no one thought of it.

Mine came with instructions, but they make IKEA instructions look clear. I might've had better luck foregoing the instructions and using The Force to guide me. Thanks Caitlin for mentioning there are no pre-drilled holes for the screws. Until that point, I thought I had lost my mind. Now the question is, "Why aren't there pre-drilled holes?" Because the company wants you to estimate where to pierce the plastic? Also, the camera shots jump around too quickly, and cut from far to near, so you're not sure which section she's working with. I should've known this experience was going to be nightmarish when the box showed the 1 tool you need, a slotted screwdriver, but the screws call for a Phillips screwdriver.

I can't figure out how to attach the lid support bracket. You aren't answering your service line and you don't show it on the video. That would help me not return it.

The video doesn’t show how to install the lid support bracket onto the lid on model BMDB134004, and the instruction booklet isn’t clear on which side is what and there are no pre-drilled holes to get started.

Please do something about the inadequacy of the instructions and hardware for this item. This video was also useless and provided no information on how to attach the hinges to the frame. So many complaints....do something to rectify the situation!!

We disposed of the shocks! Works fine without. But now is way too expensive for a box with a hinged lid that lays on garage when open. Never this brand!!!

Don't worry if the instructions don't come with the box. They are virtually useless. I did figure out where the parts go, but the screws they supply don't fit through the holes drilled in the metal supports. I don't know if the finished product actually works. I can't get past the screws yet. Buyer Beware.
