I would suggest framing Ash's contribution to the Blue Bamboo and putting it up somewhere as a picture. It is very nice. Also, if you could get the Ikea storage cabinet in a smaller size (half the current size), you could have that as a storage cabinet, a more stable place to put your lp-player and a drink/ coffee. The stool you currently have the lp-player on is, in my opinion, a bit wobbly. It would be a shame if your lp-player fell and broke. Love the minimalist decor. Well done! 👏🏽

I'm sure my comment is now pointless but to listen to the record you place the needle on the outer edge near your hand and it will automatically move forward to play the entire record😊. I grew up with record players and plan to get one soon. But eventually you can fine tone the skill of placing the needle just right to play a particular song on the record. I love that you incorporated this into your design and the vibe of your rental. Trying to convince my 22 year old son that is a graphic artist student to travel to Japan in the near future for artistic inspiration and I'm hoping when he does he'll be able to stay at your rental🤗. And I have to say you are a huge motivator for my 15 year old daughter who dreams of moving to Japan one day and study architecture there. After watching you she's added so many more goals to her "life" journal, including success tips that you give in your videos. I wish you could see her 😅 it's like she's the student and you're the teacher with how she writes her notes while watching you. From a 40+ mother thank you for encouraging the younger generations in a wholesome positive way❤💐.

Love this. I have watched you for many years and this is one of the neatest things you have ever done. So proud of you. Cant wait to see more. A few things you may want to add in the future if you have not already...are a tea set, a rice cooker, games & puzzles (there are great natural wood ones for both, and a few books maybe one showing the history of the area. A stamp for your buisness would be sweet too for those who collect them put near your guest book. A clock for sure, maybe even an anime one. And a super small chair or cushion seating option near the couch in the living room. Maybe even a picnic basket and a blue bamboo themed umberella so ppl can pack a lunch for an area nearby to eat outside.

Maybe an anime themed clock or paintings? Instead of rugs? And a safe for the tiny ghost closet? Organize the cords and wires in a way that makes them invisible. It looks great! My brother recently visited Japan and didn’t do anything Japan worthy so I told him we’d redo it and I’d make a schedule. One thing on my list is to stay at The Blue Bamboo🔵🎋 Can’t wait!

Looks amazing. Love that you have a big sofa - so hard to find in Japanese rentals. Would suggest a footrest to go with sofa (will protect coffee table from feet) and block out curtains/blinds for main bedroom if you don't have already. A lot of guests expect a dark sleep splace.

Looks great Sundai! To me the sitting area with the bookcase feels like a reading nook so I would suggest adding some books like manga of your fave animes (in English would be better so people can read them) and on the living room you could also add pamphlets from local businesses. You could also talk to locals and see if they would offer a discount to people coming from you, or if they sell let's say furoshiki maybe they would like to give you a couple for free and a pamphlet to add to the house. Many business opportunities there ;) And I totally agree on the Blue Bamboo stamp!! Oh! and a tip to keep the record sleeve safe from dirty hands, keep the plastic bag on and cut the edge where the vinyl comes out.

Hello. Was looking forward to Sundai and Sunday! I suggest museum putty for your small items like the artificial plants if you don’t want guests “making room” for their items. I’m nervous about the placement of your record player. You need a dedicated place (attach bottom if possible) where it will be hard for guest to move it a lot. That small side table next to chair will be used to move around by guests. They will need to put their phones, cords, books and eye glasses etc. there. Your property is lovely.

Maybe try the couch seat not against either wall, but kitty corner (like coming out of the corner of where those two walls meet) with space behind it for the black floor lamp with the curvy pole? Since there's so much space you could probably even have some furniture in the house floating in some spaces (not against any walls). I don't know, just some thoughts in case they may help!
