I was an escort and I appreciated the movie very much. There was more emotion that came out during this viewing than I have experienced in several years. It brought back memories of my experiences

I have seen this film a half dozen times. It is a great movie, very well done. I am a disabled veteran of the Corps, having served more than thirteen years active duty. I never served as an escort, however, as a Staff NCO, I did have the task of packing the belongings of an enlisted crew member of a helo that crashed. Each item is cleaned, folded, carefully packed, and shipped home to loved ones. We all do our part to ease their pain.

My son got to accompany several of his comrades home, and considered a true privilege and honor to be able to do so. He came home, for which I will be eternally grateful, but so many families didn't have that same blessing and I thank them for their sacrifice. My heart goes out to them.

I recently found this film. I served between Granada and Desert Storm, trained by Vietnam vets for the most part. Accounts such as this always make me feel how minimal my service was. I gave a little bit, some gave all.

You still served Sir. Thank you for your service. Had I been born an American, I have no doubt I would have been a Marine. Sempre Fi

These are the unsung heroes who bring hero’s home. Those who disrespect our flag has never been handed a folded one. To Chance and his family along with all service members past present and future and their families thank you for all you do regardless if it’s seen or not.

I saw this film a few weeks ago. It made me cried i knew that they transported the bodies back to the families, i just didn't realized how greatly emotional it is to every one involved, it brought me back to reality. My heart breaks for the families that has gone through this. I can never truly express my heartfelt feelings i have. May God bless everyone and keep you safe.

Thank you for your service Col. Strobl. Kevin Bacon, to me, this was the best performance of your distinguished career. This was a story that needed to be told.

I started crying at the end of the movie when they showed the home videos, and I'm from Britain! I guess because the soldiers over here don't get this kind of respect that all soldiers do in the US.

I love that movie, and I think is a very powerful movie, beautifully played by Kevin Bacon. It became one of my favorites movies right away. I´m not from US, but I think that the US military and Allies fighting together deserve all the honor and recognition for the great Job they do.

Taking Chance, is without a doubt, an amazing movie. It is an amazing story! My Dad was a United States Marine. We watched this movie together. I won't lie, I cried and Dad teared up. Dad said only one word regarding Kevin Bacon's portrayal of Lt. Col. Strobl, USMC- Ret. in this movie, and I quote, "OUTSTANDING!" Along with Dad tearing up, I saw something so incredibly awe inspiring; and that was the PRIDE on his face, in his eyes at the end of the movie. Well done. Very well done indeed. ❤ ~APRIL LIPKE
