I live in Dorset now and visit Gillingham and Rainham occasionally still, but from the age of 2 (which was in 1954), my entire childhood was spent along these foreshores and they were wonderful days. So many fantastic, early memories were created between Gillingham Pier, Sharps Green, the Berengrave chalk-pit (before it was a nature reserve), Otterham Quay and the creek, then on past Halstow and The Little Brown Jug, eventually to end up at the Queensferry Bridge and beyond. Looking at this film of yours, things have changed quite a lot along this part of the route but I see it all through the eyes I had all those years ago. thanks for filming this, to me it's magical.

Great, and I was probably in one of those sailing dinghies even more fascinating.
