Sunday in the Office with Einstein Parrot

Right before he was to do his livestream show on Sunday, Einstein was in the mood to do some talking. He talked about colors, did some roaring like a lion and a many other funny sayings. He also did his famous Einstein parrot waving a couple of times.

Einstein Parrot is a very talkative African Grey Parrot! He lives with us in our home in Texas and was hatched on June 15, 1997. Einstein is a silly, smart, and popular parrot who loves to talk and entertain! He is famous for his impression of Matthew McConaughey, ( • Einstein thinks Matthe... ) NOT the "Einstein" that was featured on the TV show Animal Planet. He likes to talk on various "parrot approved areas" in our home, such as the kitchen drawer, the shower, kitchen chairs, napkin holders, and of course his play perches! Einstein has brought much joy to our lives, but training and living with a parrot requires time, patience, and sacrifice.

Poor Einstein, he wants so badly to interact with Jeff to no avail. He asks again and again "how are you doing" and no answer. I had answered not matter what. Einstein is so adorable and smart, really a super sweet parrot

They vocalize differently than we do. Instead of a larynx with vocal chords, parrots/birds have a syrinx, a distended portion of the trachea. In the wall of the syrinx are two thin, oval membranes that vibrate and produce the bird’s vocalizations. Syrinxes differ slightly anatomically across bird families, involving the attachment of various muscles. Genetic differences also influence birds’ vocalizations. Sound is accomplished by expelling air across the mouth of the bifurcated trachea. Different sounds are produced by changing the depth and shape of trachea.
