Manaka Takaoka is the main composer for Breath of the Wild, and in fact the one that composed this song for Tears of the Kingdom. I know these 2 games are more atmospheric and you did an amazing job capturing the essence of what she was going for. You should definitely look into more of her work, her first Zelda project was The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks and honestly it's my favorite soundtrack in the franchise.

Thank you very much for the information. Doing this has taught me that game music is a whole world of music that I wasn't really aware of. I'm listening to Spirit Tracks now. I appreciate your comment very much.

@@midi_in I hope you like it😊 Gaming Music is such a giant spectrum of music often even confused with classical music. There are videos out there called "Is it Mozart or Pokémon?" Since you're heading into this new realm I HIGHLY recommend you check out Undertale and Pokémon. They're really the best examples aside from Zelda as to what is out there.

I listened this morning but the vacuum started its daily routine and mucked it up, and then this rotten little cat came through the door and jumped on our forest cat who started loudly protesting, so I had to get up and drag them apart, life in the cat stables one might say. I have a just had a chance to listen uninterrupted and boy, I am glad I did, the mandolin was a pleasant surprise, is it new? And I loved the horn at the end. Thank you for your hard work. I have just spent 3 days trying to get the vocoder on my korg triton to work. I have used it before successfully, but this time it escaped me. Oh well onwards and upwards. 😊

Than you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm certainly glad that I found this particular sheet music. I've owned the mandolin for a long time, you'll see it hanging on the studio wall in the background of many of my videos. I love buying musical instruments but I've hardly used this one before. I think the reluctance is because the tuning is very much its own, so it has its own chord shapes and the positions of the notes are unfamiliar to me. But it has a lovely sound and I should use it more. I'm glad you liked the trumpet whinney, I was hoping it would be a surprise at the end but you're the first to mention it. That particular sound effect is well known to trumpet players, it's written in Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride (which also includes the clip clop of coconut shell halves) but I've never done that in a band situation and I'm glad to have had a chance to do it here!

The mandolin and horn really added a medieval feel. That was probably way better than what the game used. Very well executed!

That's quite a compliment, thank you!

Just how many instruments can you play!? You amaze me.

LOL, thank you. I feel a little inadequate because there's a violin part which I had to leave to the computer. I am tempted to get some kind of electric violin.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Credit must go to the composer, it's quite simple but incredibly effective.

It's beautiful insn't it? There's obviously so much lovely music in games, I should explore this genre more.

It certainly is beautiful, and very summery somehow. A couple of years ago there was a Gaming Prom (from 8-bit to Infinity) that did have some music from Zelda.

It is beautiful isn't it. There's obviously a whole world of modern game music out there that I wasn't aware of. (PS1 is as modern as I like to get)

@@midi_in There's just too much stuff sometimes, that we miss stuff we really would love because there aren't enough hours in the day!
