Great Video, Dereck! Yeah, I agree that you can’t be pigeon-holed. The way I see your musical capabilities - you’re all over the map. Punk, Electronic, Avant, Prog (which covers just about everything) … but you have a signature sound that is unique to you. No one sounds quite like you, and you don’t sound like anyone else. I ALSO LOVE HOW YOU PACKAGE YOUR MUSIC COLLECTIONS. They are beautiful, artistic statements on their own. Classy stuff, man. And it’s clear you’re respected by the same artists that you enjoy listening to. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be on more than half the albums that they release. And your contributions are significant. Not to mention (but I’m a gonna mention it anyway!), THIS CHANNEL! You’re an institution, going back YEARS. I’ve been watching for 15+ years now! I just hope you stick around, the music community not only NEEDS you - you are truly appreciated. Peace, brother. 🙏🏼

Hey Dereck, I'm happy to see you got some new music. I'm also happy you're enjoying your new music purchases. The Yes outtakes sound very interesting. I can't wait for your new album. This week is going to be great; We have New Dereck Music coming!!!!

That call with Donald Fagen telling the guy to f*ck off is hilarious. The idea that only people who can afford yachts are listening to Steely Dan is ludicrous.

Congratulations on popping your 2025 vinyl cherry. Nice scores! It's cool to see the proper cover for Where Fortune Smiles. I have it in the not so attractive rainbow cover. Love that early Rare Bird stuff--good deal on the sealed LP. You may have talked me into getting the Yes outtakes thing.

I recommend the outtakes.

I always make sure to note the first album I listen to in the new year. It's usually whatever I happen to be into at the time. This year was the Durutti Column's "Obey the Time".

Nice pickups for '25 Dereck, Always cool finding old-new stock that you pop the seal on. " elegance and dignity got nothing to do with having money" ain't that the truth!

Steve Gad was a genius percussionist and no more liked by rich or poor.
