There are several reasons why people hate or let me say there is a stigma with motorcyclists. 1. Yes, the okada riders really put an image on all motorcyclists with their reckless riding and not abiding by road rules. 2. Other road users, i.e drivers are mad because riders get to lane split and get to their location 40mins or more before one who is driving. 3. Even some of the "responsible" riders are careless and are a nuisance on the road speeding and weaving through traffic, not to mention wheeling at it. 4. In this video☝🏾the rider disreagrds road rules and speeds past an ambulance 🚑 which has the right of way🤷🏾‍♂️. I can list a couple more, but the main reasons I have covered. The bottom line is that, in the country Ghana, for as long as the way of life and the systems not working the way they are intended to, there will be no change. I rode for 9 days straight in Ghana from the USA, and I will tell you, ridding a motorcycle comes with risks. However, i found it very dangerous riding in Ghana. Ride safe and get home alive every day ✌🏾

@@OneAfricanDjSmash Very insightful. I also believe that in as much as a lot of drivers make riding dangerous, it's also up to us as motorcyclists to give a good account of ourselves and help with our already tarnished reputation. Hope to see you in Ghana soon tho.

I'm an uber driver, and I can tell you drivers don't hate motorcyclists. Most motorcyclists in Ghana ride recklessly, especially the okada and delivery riders. They act like they are immune to accidents or death.

That's very true. Sometimes I watch how the okada riders behave on the road, and it just surprises me.
