I was sat here thinking about life and family and thoughts of my father playing Johnny Cash on his harmonica were in my mind when this popped up, he also loved a bit of Kris too and i know if my dad was still with us today he have loved this Kelli. Kelli That was fabulous. Kris was an amazing man - one of the best songwriters and such a coll dude who followed his own road. That song, when it was first played for public, was on Johnny Cash's TV Show which was live. The censors told him he had to change the word "stoned" to " home" which he agreed to. But when he was playing it he saw Kris in the audience and decided he couldn't change it and sang " stoned" anyways ! Of course it became such a great hit for so many singers, but i must say, your performance is right there next to the best of them ! You sang it to perfection, and delivered the passion and emotions of the song in an amazing way. And of course, I shouldn't have to type this every time, but I feel compelled - you are such a beautiful woman and talented beyond description - you should be as famous as Taylor Swift ! Thanks again for sharing you music and heart - keep them coming ! Jim💛

i was eleven years old in 1970, when i heard the radio playing this song, it was Johnny Cash, i fell in love with the song, but it was only a few years ago when i found out that Kris wrote the song, but now that i have heard you Kelli do it, i fell in love with the song all over again, i cried so many tears listening to you sing it from the heart, as if you wrote the song, i was born will the soul of a lonely man, a man all alone in a world that doesn't care, but it's ok, i like being alone.
