Yup, nothing like that old air cooled Japanese in-line 4 sound. I have a 1980 KZ1000 that sounds similar. They have a sound, smell and power delivery that the newer bikes just don’t have anymore. I like my newer bikes too, less maintenance and easier to live with, but when I throw a leg over my KZ it takes me back to simpler times.

@krautworks I recently got a FZ1 and really like it but there's something about that kawi. I've let it sit for about 10 years so I know it's gonna need some work

The carburetors are freshly synchronized, the pops and bangs are due to the "Clean Air System" that recirculates some of the exhaust back into the engine. And thank you for your kind words! :)

I got a full exhaust system from Cobra Exhaust, 4-in-1 header and a muffler, db killer is installed.

@@krautworks ist die alte Maschine von meinem Vater. Mit der ist er damals nach Gibraltar gefahren. Da kommen Erinnerungen hoch. Das Video hier von dir ist echt mega gut und stimmig.

Moin ! Was für einen Auspuff hast du denn Verbaut? Kann mich nicht erinnern das meine ende letzten Jahres auch so klang ? :P

Momentan ist eine Komplettanlage von Cobra Exhaust verbaut. Die hat schon nen stolzen Preis gehabt, aber ich bin dennoch echt ziemlich happy damit. Ist vielleicht ein bisschen laut für meinen Geschmack, aber der Klang ist Bombe. Alternativ kann man auch einfach nur einen Endschalldämpfer bei denen sich holen, sollte relativ nah drankommen! Falls es dir was nützt - das Modell das ich hab wäre ein "SP 2".
