Along side the flex insurance you need to have a policy that covers you for when your not working, I also have my social domestic and pleasure policy with zego however you can use a different insurer but you need to make sure that the insurance company allows the top up insurance (zego flex)

@@deiselden to deliver fast food and parcels you need to have hire and reward insurance, if you deliver without it and get stopped by police (which will happen eventually) they will issue 6 points, a fine and seize the bike

One thing I notice watching these videos is how gentrified they are making London, compared to what it was when I was growing up. Your comment about the big housing estate being demolished and replaced with Yuppie apartments that only the rich can afford. Housing is a necessity for all, but they are making it a luxury commodity. Prices to buy or rent are beyond so many, leading to overcrowded rentals and homelessness. Even more expensive green homes don't help. Basic inexpensive volume homes are what is required by many. Any home is better than no home.

Just be careful with Zego. Most standard insurance providers do not allow you to use it and deems your standard insurance invalid whilst using zego which in turns makes your zego insurance also invalid meaning your driving without insurance. Just a heads up, check with your insurance provider if they allow to use Zego, I believe only a few providers allow it.

Those food apps are a blessing for the delivery drivers. Years ago I did takeaway deliveries and we were always scared of being robbed. It happened to other drivers, thankfully not me though. Now it's cashless so makes it safer for you guys.

If you work part-time, pay-as-you-go is a much better option. I used to pay £112 per month for insurance because everyone was saying monthly is better. In April this year (new tax year), I switched to pay-as-you-go. I topped it up with £120 and still have £33.25 left. So far, I've saved around £250

Love this channel. Just a suggestion, on Amazon they have foam cup tray holders that can hold 3, 4, 6 etc. cups at once. It may be safer for transport? It may not take up much room and are reusable. I'm looking forward to the next video!

I work in one of the convenience stores up north and we do a lot of online orders. Drivers thieving has been a problem but with deliveroo making them scan the order number it has dropped. Plus of course customers will try it on to get a refund

I tip for: fast food temperature Big/difficult order Hot weather (I also sometimes give them an iced bottle of water for their health if there's a high risk for heat stroke and they're not in a car) heavy rain (I might give them a coffee or cocoa pouch if it's also cold weather and they're not in a car- so they can warm up their body and not catch cold) late night (after 11pm until 4am- also might give them a small rice cracker pouch for a snack if it's like 2am)

The main issue with Zego is that they are the only company that offers hourly rate and delivery insurance so can dictate how much they charge you and have done that by increasing the hourly charge rate. So you can't go to a competitor as there is none. (Well at least in Ireland).

I got a double delivery to the same house once, and they weren't even home. I called them and they asked me to leave it behind the fence. One order was Sainos, but the other was a nice hot pizza and dough balls. Some people are weird.

Just wondering if you considered attaching a sat nav on your bikes and using an app to attach your phone so then you don't have to worry about your phone being stolen and can take the phone with you if the other is permanently attached to your bike. What about with customers getting codes before you give the food maybe I am wrong about that but what if you are given the wrong address. Look forward to your travels then :) Bath is very hilly as is Edinburgh have you ever swapped a shift there? Have you ever accidentally given away someone else's order? I had this happen once.

The delivery drivers that steal just make it more challenging to be a delivery driver because there is always the assumption that all drivers are theives. I'm a delivery driver and a restaurant employee followed me to my car to make sure I wasn't stealing the food, even after I completed the verification of the order on the delivery app. I understand the suspicion because customers probably call the restaurant to complain but that was too much. Delivery drivers, let's just DELIVER the food. 😎 BTW, I do the same thing. I complain to myself about delivery drivers that talk to me too much but sometimes, few and far between, there are some interesting drivers that I talk to longer than a minute and I find myself saying "omg, I over-talked." Lol 😵‍💫🤣 I take my job seriously because customers pay for their food to be hot and arrive quickly so I remind myself to "crack on!" Haha

Actually since you’re also an Electrician, why not you include the cost of charge of the Niu where you breakdown how much kWh is used per delivery shift and how much that translates in costs. Lots of people like to calculate the cost of gas so why not do the same for an electric scooter (although i’m pretty it’s gonna cost really little anyways lol)

so basically you need an insurance policy anyways which is social and pleasure or social pleasure and commuting. you will need that cover anyways which is obtained every year or monthly. just like if you was to get a car you need an insurance provider to drive it anywhere
