This routine is super important to me, because it is something that I have control over going into a busy week. You never know what life could throw at you, and I feel that way about school sometimes. Sunday is my day to breathe, take some time for me, and feel prepared for a new week. Hi Mrs Brittany, I really like your Sunday video and you touched on some important topics about taking time for yourself. I can completely relate to you because I never used to take for myself either my mother's house was damaged to flooding and I was devastated by the trauma that I started to go down a dark path. Now, I am starting to more time for myself especially during this virus outbreak by mediating, reading, or working on some music. I also have a tough time telling people no because I don't want to hurt their feelings and most have stuck their necks out for me whether it was voluntarily or if I wasn't the most supportive person at that moment.

I am in college studying secondary math education and I LOVE your vids! I'm so happy I found you because I have yet to really find a lot of good secondary teachers on youtube. And I loved what you said about setting boundaries. I couldn't tell if I was getting a lot of school work or if I was a workaholic, either way, I was still always doing homework. And I am also someone who wants to get ahead with my work usually, so I will spend my weekends doing that. But this past weekend, I was just able to feel it mentally and physically. So I had to force myself not to touch any assignments and it really helped a lot to recharge.

Ms. Brittany, I started school this week and I am still trying to get myself acquainted to the reality that I am no longer in middle school. I am in high school and I cannot believe it. I am so anxious for this new journey. My teachers are all supportive, but some of them are not as loving and it is arduous to navigate this new environment because I am at a point where my classes are college preparatory. Nevertheless, I know I will overcome this struggle because I know that all of my friends are new to this school and in the same position as me. You are a wonderful teacher and I acknowledge that. I am taking English, World History, Biology, Algebra, Spanish, World Geography, and Financial Literacy this semester. I am exceedingly excited for Writing Workshop next semester. I make time for reading, writing, and the things I love most in the midst of a hectic schedule. I love you

My school (well the state) has delayed the beginning of classes till Sept 18th for 7th and 8th grades (I'm teaching this leves). So I feel like I'm in the middle time of something and my routines are a bit weird right know. Sometimes I work from home, sometimes from the school...
