Friday Night Funkin' (stylized as FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN' and often abbreviated to FNF) is an open-source[2] donationware rhythm game first released in 2020 for a game jam.[3] The game was developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games.[4] The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s.
The game mainly revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of characters in singing and rapping contests in order to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. The gameplay revolves around hitting notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.[5][6]
The game was initially created for the Ludum Dare 47 game jam in October 2020.[7] A full version backed on Kickstarter titled Friday Night Funkin': The Full Ass Game is under development.[8]

Hey, a nine minute [[4-for-one-specil]]! What a treat. It feels like no time at all has passed since you posted "Overworked" with lyrics, as well as the other four. I remember you saying in Dusk 'Til Dawn that it was more for you to test your lyric writing, not your singing voice; But as you've posted more and more of these, I think there's been a remarkable improvement in both, on top of your editing. I'm not a singer, so there's not much for me to comment on specifically, but your voice sounds pleasant. The font choices are stylish, and the syllables being highlighted as they're sung is a nice reference to old animated movies doing much the same in musical sections. Jiminy's (I assume that's BonoanAnything as Jiminy, and not a disembodied rhyming narrator) slow descent into acceptance was a great in-between-song choice, and I think it helped tie the whole video together. Bonoan, like usual, did a wonderful job as Jiminy (again, assuming they're not a disembodied narrator) and Pixelly was great as Song Four Mickey. In fact, you all did a wonderful job on this production, and this is one of my favorite videos from you. Can't wait to see what else you do, nor can I wait to see what other people you'll drag into these!

1. The songs are high pitched ruineds the creepy vibe 2. The voice actors sound like peppa pig voice actors or dhis voice actors 3. Get a better voice actor for mickey 4.
