Hi Nia. I am recently divorced, and like you I’ve always been with our 5 year old. So now she will be going with her dad every other weekend. I thought I would be sad about it but I’m actually looking forward to the time to myself. It’s been a tough journey and like you, I didn’t think this would be my life especially after 40. I am hoping to eventually find me and again and look forward to all the good things that life still has to offer. ❤

It’s definitely something to get used to but over time you will see that using those weekends to focus on you is the best thing you can do for yourself and your child

Love the shelves. And I can relate so much. I’m a single mom of a 14 year old. dad and I separated when he was 6 and it’s very much evident that I am struggling at finding me because every moment outside of work has been spent dedicated to being the best mom I can be.

Hi Nia, Yes, it's good to be by yourself for While. Also it's good for her to be away from you too, because you both are together so much! So you're doing the right thing by taking this time for yourself. I had to learn that late in life & I'm 74 years old. My kids are all grown & have families of their own! 😅Your meal sounds delicious! Couldn't you let her have a hot meal that they give at School once or twice a week? Just a thought! I did that with my kids, even more, because I had 4 & doing 4 lunches every day was very time consuming! So they got a lot of hot meal which was great! Love the video! I always like to listen to you! Have great day! ♥️😉🫂🐾🐾🦋🦉🌺🌹✨️

Hi Nia. Long time subbie here. I recently discovered from one of your videos that we live in the same state. I think it was the video you were going on a business trip 😃. Anyway, a lunch tip for Riley - you can get yourself one of those food Thermos flasks from Target, Walmart, Amazon. I usually preheat it with hot water for like 5 minutes when my son is getting ready or having his breakfast. I then warm up some leftover rice + any curry (beef, chicken, beans, lentils), leftover spaghetti with meat sauce or meatballs. Anything really. I do about 2-2.5 minutes. The food stays hot until lunch time 😃. I hope you find this as another good option to make your morning school routing mom life easy 😊

Thank you so much!! I have one of those Omie boxes which has been a huge help!! I’m still trying to get her into sandwiches too

@@NiaNicole The only sandwiches my son eats are pb&js 😩. Probably my fault because I don’t like cold sandwiches, but a win either way.
