Frank i am amazed I used to ride in the seat with my dad, he used an old Heston but it was pretty close To you're old gleaner.. I love those days, He'd holler at me an I'd jump down the ladder and pick up rocks and sticks that were in the field right in front of the blades of that old thing an then run right back up An Sit down, he'd kick the that thing back on after i sat down, then he'd look at me and wink.. thing was so noisy neither of us could hear anything shy of a scream.. And I loved every day.. long time Ago those memories... you i can imagine got the same kind of feeling when that old girl started Kicking up her heels and working that wheat once you got her fixed. Very nice work I might add... When you've never done it you're Common sense will get you through everytime. Looks like she's getting better with the chafe getting into the bin.. Hows she do with the loses on the Ground behind you? Thank you for the memories you brought back for me could watch that for hours.. Shawn In Oregon

Frank, seeing you operating a 50-60year old piece of farming equipment out on your 2-acre field…, all by your lonesome, and then seeing you pick up a small electrical device that has the power to connect you with “the world”…, it is certainly a wonder to behold… I have never worked a piece of ground, seeded a crop, harvested it, and gotten it to market…, i envision that it might be somehow soothing to the soul in the end, and I am green with envy at what you got there. Happy Fathers Day. Great video, Thank you sir.

Operating old equipment is what I grew up with, but this is my first harvest that is mine. Fixing a free combine is a challenge, and an accomplishment that I did not think would ever happen. Best I can tell it’s a 66 year old machine, that’s only a few years older than little red, she is a 73. Old stuff can be fixed way easier than the newer plastic stuff. But no, you ain’t wrong in your assessment I will sleep welll knowing what has been accomplished. Happy that you have enjoyed it as well. Thank you for watching and commenting.

getting that harvestor running was impressive but I was more impressed when I saw you swap out your backhoe swing casting while balancing your detached backhoe in midair from a chain hoist.

So I may have missed it, but what are you going to do with all the wheat once you're done? Do you keep some and make your own flour and bread etc? I'm noticing a trend, lots of vintage equipment sitting around. You're not one of those Tinkerers are you, Frank? 😂

Probably take it to market and sell it too cheap! I have enough projects to keep me busy a while😂
